I only take the cap off when I clean it out. To fill it I use a syringe if I am at home, or just push the top of the bottle against the hole and squeeze when I am at work. It took some practice but now most of the time I don't spill a drop. I have been using mine for a couple of weeks now and the only part that is worn out is the mouth piece cause I have a bad habit of chewing on it, lol.

For folks that DIY, the best method to fill them is indeed a syringe. Yes wear and tear on the cap will eventually weaken the seal. OTOH reports have shown that after a while the carts start giving of a plastic taste, so we are unsure at this time which will come first the chicken or the egg. I have a few attys coming with my batts and will report my findings once known.

For those who have syringes. You just simply perforate the tank using your atty, give it a full revolution (so you don't have a pregnant chad LOL) remove and fill 'em up. On the go, bring 1-2 extras with you.

I am not Canadian, but maybe it won't hurt that I answer this question from my experience.

I remove the cap to fill and have done it numerous of times with no problems what so ever... well I take that back I did accidentally drop the cap and lost it on my first tank (carelessness on my part) but I am still on my second tank for quite some time (tons of refills). Of course YMMV.

True with a caveat. Anything that is a snap seal will eventually wear after a while. I do not know the longevity of the tanks as I have not received mine yet. I believe the technique evolved from someone who did not have a syringe and did what he had to, to get them filled. Not necessarily the best method IMO.

I have been using only one tank for 23 days now, I re-fill it taking the cap off, maybe 4 or 5 times a day. So it's been off well over a hundred times now and there is no wear and tear on it, no leaks and works like day 1.

At around $1.25 and i'm still re-filling the same cart for almost a month I'd say it doesn't harm it. Even if you only DID get a month from a tank using the pop off cap, why go through the hassle of using or carrying syringes and pippettes to save a dollar a month? IMO

The only problem I've had with the tanks so far is the little piece of plastic stuck in the end you vape from can pop out when you twist the tank (normally when I align it with the bat button). Turns out the insert isn't required at all so no worries there. At a buck each, I just grabbed some spares. I still can't believe how well these things work.

Oh yeah..I pop off the cap to refill and no issues at all with 60 changes.

That's good to hear.I have a syringe bought to fill ce2's with, but don't even use it on them anymore.Think at less than a buck a piece,I'll stick with the convenience of just popin' the cap off.
If only atomizers were that cheap and lasted so long :)
