I suggest going with the eGo-T if you're just starting out. It has a bigger battery that will last you longer between charges.

I'm not so sure about the "LR" being lower with the 510-T. LR just refers to the ohms on the atty, and LR is anything that is 2.0ohms and below. LR atties aren't recommended for use with the slim battery e-cigs like the 510 because they can't handle the heat that LR atties generate. You can use LR atties with the eGo batteries, but I wouldn't go below 2.0ohms.

LR means warmer, more dense vapor and sometimes better TH.

This one eGo-T 1000mah Starter Kit (Type B) (Stainless Steel)

Wondering if the eGo-T in stainless finish looks like this. I can't tell the difference between the two.

The batteries are the same, really. Ego, fat batteries, they just come in a variety of sizes from 650 mah to 1300.

Some kits come with the tank atty and tanks, some kits come with cartomizers, or cartridges and atomizers.

That's a nice thing about 510 (ego or mini), there are so many options.

The downside of the 510 is short battery life and you can't use low resistance atomizers or cartomizers on it. You can't use LR on any mini that I know of.

What are your smoking habits like? (How long have you smoked? How much?) Have you ever used a pv before?

Some people are happy with the small pvs. Some don't like the short battery life or the vape doesn't seem to satisfy them. Then they usually chose a larger battery pv so they can use LR cartos or atty or mods.

In case you don't know-

Ego-T has a little plasic 'tank' that you fill with liquid. You place this tank on your atomizer (heating element) and place this on your battery.

Ego with cartomizer- a cartomizer is a cartridge and atomizer combined. It contains batting and you drip about 1 ml of juice into the batting and place this on your battery. They last quite a while but they are considered disposable

Ego with cartridge and atomizer- A cartridge with filling material is filled with liquid (about 15 drops). This cartridge is placed on the atomizers and both are put on the battery. Not disposable but atomizers need to be replaced.

Personally, I enjoy both the eGo-T and 510-T. I don't use them all the time anymore, though they used to be my go-to kit. Note that you can use the 510-T atomizers on any 510 battery, so if you go that route I highly recommend you go with a good long-lasting battery rather than the cigarette-sized 510 batts (the 1000mAh eGo battery is a good choice). The battery life on those ciggie-size devices is pretty poor (usually around 240-300mAh)

I'll break down a couple of differences between those atomizers from my experiences:
- flavor and throat hit come through a little better on the 510-T than the eGo-T
- eGo-T carts hold about twice as much juice (the Mega/Type-B Tank attys hold even more) as the 510 version
- the draw is stiff on both models, some people like it and some don't
- the 510-T is less prone to leaking issues than the eGo varieties (just my experience, though, YMMV)

I'd recommend the Tanks to pretty much any newbie, but there is a bit of a learning curve (like with pretty much anything) on how to adjust your vaping style to get the best performance out of them. Once you've gotten past that initial hump, though, it's smooth sailing

Hope some of that info helps you!

I'm relatively new to vaping too but I've spent too much money finding what works well. I suggest trying the ego (650 or 1000 mAh battery) with a LR 510 atomizer. I could not be happier with the setup. It gives great vapor, flavor, and th. I bought my battery from Totally Wicked and I got my atomizers from Backwoods Brew. I hope this helps. :2cool:

Ready to pull the trigger on an eGo... errrrr an eGo-T. I'm kind of confussed by the verbage on the site though however. Help needed.

eGo-T Starter Kit = (sure you already know the details) 2 X 1000Mah batteries:
http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/products/eGo%2dT-Starter-Kit-1000Mah-(Type-A).html

eGo Starter Kit = 2 X Mega 1000Mah batteries with option to get the standard 510 atty's:
http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/products/eGo-Starter-Kit.html

I need to know if the eGo kit with option to get standard 510 attys is the set up that was mentioned earlier as it seems like it'll be the best for me, however, there is no mention of the (T) in the description of the atty. I'm currently a pack a day smoker (preferrably menthol) and I do enjoy the occasional cigar so TH and vapor are big on my list.

eGo-T comes with a tank (which seems to be the rave however I'm not sure why yet) but comes with 2 eGo T atomizers (which according to those that know say I should switch out to a 510T atty)

Also... is the Mega 1000Mah battery different than the 1000Mah battery? These are the questions that are stumping this newb and hold up ordering progress.

TJ... you are the man. At least I'm good on the battery thing now.

From what I'm hearing, it appears that no matter what I go with in the eGo line I'll be switching the atty out for the 510-T to experience what you described ealier when describing your preference as it sounds like that would be mine to???

I guess the only thing left to do is take a leap and everything else will fall into place over time.

Personally, I'd get the standard ego. Get used to using that. Try a few different types of cartos, try dripping, try using the carts/atty.

You can always purchase the ego tank and tank atty down the road.

Tanks are prone to a lot of issues. This is especially hard if you have never vaped before. There's cleaning involved and adjustment of the almost microscopic wick.

I have tried and used the tanks. I didn't feel like dealing with the issues so I went back to cartomizers.

If you do decide to get the Ego-T and I would definitely recommend it over the 510-T, I have no idea about some of the advice your getting here- get a box of boge 2.0 cartomizers too. They cost about $5.99 for a box of 5 at good prophets. That way if you have tank issues, you have a back-up so you can still use your pv.

thank you SF... I've finally decided to stop thinking and just jump in. I guess I'll figure the rest out as it goes.

eGo starter kit (stainless finish)
2 x Mega 1000Mah batteries
2 x Standard 510 atty
1 x USB & AC plug charger
1 x Suede pouch (yeah, I said suede)
5 x 510 Cartridges Round & 2 x eGo cone covers.

Initial Juice Run
1-10ml green apple 18mg 100%PG
1-10ml menthol 18mg (just for those days that call for it)
1-10ml vanilla cream / caramel coffee 85pg/15vg

Hopefully this will cover the basics while I start my new obsession.
