I have two 900mah ego-t batteries that wont fully charge. The red light just stays on even after the 3-4hr recommended charge time. Charger issue? Possible fix?

I have a 900 mah ego c twist and i have the same prob. could it be the charger? I did notice that the charger did have some residue liquid, or at least, it looked like it. I always clean the battery nipple tip but i never thought to clean the charger tip! I'm going to try that and see if that helps.
When you screwed it on, did the ego blink a few times?
If it's Joye- does it blink every 5 seconds?
Did you clean battery and charger contacts?
Is it very old?
Some knock-offs just don't last long.
