The Ego T is notorious for having mute flavor and vapor. The ego is not bad, but a ego clone like the kgo or the riva are cheaper and run at a higher voltage. Theres also a unit called the noego that is only 25 dollars for the base unit and runs off of user replacable batteries that are much cheaper then riva or ego batteries. That would be my reccomendation.

I like my eGo-T. I've had none of the troubles with it that others have had, but that's probably because I read posts and watch a lot of YouTube about the eGo-T before I got one. From what I've read, stay away from the off-brand eGo-T clones. Those are the ones that seem to be having the most problems. I look on the battery. If it doesn't say eGo-T, it's not for me!

If I get the ego shoul i get 650mAh batteries or 1000mAh batteries, and will the 1000mAh battery perform well with a standard atty?

Your not going to see any difference in Performance between a 650mAh and a 1,000mAh. Just longer battery life.

Think of the mAh like the gas tank in your car. If you put a bigger tank in a Honda, you don't drive faster. Just longer.

That's great advice thank you, so if I get two egos would it be worth the extra money to get one 650mAH and one 1000mAh?

And I do drive a Honda!! haha

Here's my take on it:

The extra 1000 mah battery can be a real life saver if you can kill two 650's in a day. That being said, here's some additional comments.

If you think you will enjoy dripping, get an eGo or Riva with a 510 atomizer and a drip tip. If that seems like a pain, then try one (ONE) eGo-T or 510-T atty and see if it does the trick. If that doesn't work- try the low resistance eGo-T or 510-T.

That's the route I would follow.

Personally I like the regular resistance eGo-T and 510-T systems. Many people do not agree with me. But a large number of people like the low resistance version.

This is what I have a 650mAh passthru' and a 1000 mAh regular battery. I charge the 1000 overnight and take it to work. The 650mAh is when I am at home on my puter. I use these batteries mostly with boge LR cartomizers. However it is not advisable to use a 650mAh with Low resistance atomizer/cartomizers (reduces the life of the battery).

I've heard great things about the gogo. I've got 2 ego batts that I like to use with the LR cartos. I'd go with the gogo rather than the ego. The riva is nice and Liberty Flights sells the carto deluxe bundle for $34 with the 20% off. If I had to choose between the ego and riva.. I buy another riva batt.

Will my 510 drip tip fit on my ego if it's a 510 atty? Or do I need to get an ego drip tip?

Yup :)

The standard eGo setup it uses a 510 atty... so the atties you have now will work just fine on an eGo battery. You could simply buy an eGo cone and a battery (Riva or eGo) and *poof* you are in eGo-land.

I have to agree with untitledblue. I use the ego with a low rez atty and drip tip for dripping at home but use a ego-t low rez atty for on the go and driving because dripping and driving is just begging for a wreck.

Good point. Once I get my ego and get used to it I'll invest in a ego T atty. But I only drip at stop signs and red lights. Safety First!!
