ego vs kgo ?

Would someone please explain the difference between an ego and a kgo. Thank you.

An eGo is a 3.2 to 3.4 regulated battery, which means that it maintains that voltage throughout it's charge cycle. A Kgo battery is unregulated and comes off the charger at about 4.2v and slowly goes down to about 3.4v, so for the first while you are vaping a Kgo, you get higher voltage.

+1 to what mooreted said. Kgo's is 900 mah I believe and Ego is typically 650 mah, so you have longer battery life between charges. Also, what does more voltage mean to you? The higher output of the Kgo generally provides more vapor, flavor, and throat hit (better overall vape). But YMMV!

Most of the time when you're vaping a kGo, it will be about 3.7V. It'll come off charge at 4.2, but it will drop pretty rapidly and spend most of it's time at about 3.7V. Then, it will slowly drop to 3.3-3.4V, when you'll probably want to recharge it. An eGo will start and 3.3-3.4V and stay there until it shuts off.

If you absolutely must squeeze the maximum amount of time between recharges (say 10 hours for a 1000mah) out of your e-cig, the eGo would probably be a better choice. If you can handle recharging after 6-7 or so hours, before the battery is actually drained to 3.4V, you can vape at a consistently higher power level with a kGo.

kGo's are available in 650mah and 1100mah. Egos are most commonly available in 650, 900 and 1000mah.

The Ego-upgrade will run in unregulated mode if you set it to do so, at about the same voltage as the Kgo. So, maybe the distinction is not so much these days.
