Ok I finally received my order from HG and with my order I got the cone shaped ego atties Joye eGo atomizer! Cone shape/Type A - Spare parts Heaven Gifts

I tried this out and works pretty close to perfectly... (definitely better than my 801 set up )...

I love the fat bridge... it's just ashame not too many places carry the cone shaped...

Anyway.. I found that since it has such a fat bridge and the soft carto tip is pretty thick... i got my best results in honing out the the hole a bit.. just the side that goes into the atty.

then cut slits partially in just a little so it can "mouth" the bridge..... This has work for 3 refills so far.. no leaks , no flooding, and uses all of the juice no joke....

I don't go all fanboy on stuff, but this definitely gave me a better perspective with using carts again...

again good job canabino.

Hope this is not a dumb question, but would this method work on the regular carts? Like the ones that would come with a kit? From what I could see from the pics, they looked like whistle tips and I am curious if the shape of the cart has an effect on how this mod would work.
When I watched the video referenced in this thread, when he put the cart on the atty, a comment came up about not pushing it all the way on. Then later in the video, it looked like the cart was all the way on the atty.
Again, sorry for these questions, but have a bunch of the cylindrical carts and was hoping I might be able to use them with this mod.
Thank you very much for your help and advice.......

Thanks LGD I am glad I could help a fellow vaper enhance their vaping experience. I also have the partial slits in mine I will try the honing of the hole also.

Horton I can't comment on the regular carts as I don't have any to try this with, but I am sure the regular carts are a bit smaller than the mega carts. I suppose you can cut the silicone piece smaller to fit the regular cart. Why don't you try this and let me know.
I added a caption on the video. You do push it all the way in, I only did it after I alligned the mouthpiece with the switch (I have the flat mouthpieces)
Hope you get it to work for you.

Thanks for your advice, Canabino. I'll give it a go and report back on this thread. It's late here, so I'll try it in the morning when I'm more alert....lol. My eyelids are getting heavy and getting time to saw some logs. I sure hope it will work.... I'm tired of fiddling with the carts so often. I've tried other mods with varying degrees of success, but this one really made sense to me. Thanks for the explanation about the video...... had me wondering....lol.

I tried this a few weeks ago with a soft carto plug - it was no good for me. The hole wasnt letting enough juice through. Then today I took my stanley knife and cut two slits in line with the hole almost to the edge. Works awesome. Perfect amount of juice, no leaking, no funny taste.

The only other trick was to mount the slits such that they are perpendicular to the atty bridge, this seems to open the plug up just enough to let through a nice amount of juice.

OK Can.. new project for you :D

If you have an extra coneAtty to experiment with try this:

go through the same steps that you explained, but do 2 additional steps

1. remove the bridge from your atty
2. run wick through the hole of the white silicone piece (half inside the cart and half hanging out) <<<this is assuming you have any wicking :D

This way you won't push the silicone piece in (allowing more juice) and it should work under the same concept of the egoTanks

you have to play around with how much wick to use but the thicker the better.

I wouldn't say it is fail proof (not sure if it is for everyone), but the one I played with works rather well.

excessive?maybe, but interesting none the less :D

okay, I've been vaping for a couple of months now... using 510 cartos on my ego... my ego came with the larger cone style attys and the XL whistle tip carts. THIS MOD ROCKS!!! I wont use cartos any more. The soft silicone tips from my 510 cartos fit the XL carts perfectly. easy to fill (pop out white silicone cap and pour juice into cart), zero leaks (2 full carts vaped) overnight sitting etc... I didnt even have to enlarge holes or make cuts or anything... plug and play solution!!! well done!
