I was also curious what they look like with a 3.5 tank attached but can't seem to find a pic of that either.

as for 3.5ml tank, its about the same diameter. when it is attached, it sits up kind of above the bigger set of threads. with dt attached, it ends up almost exactly the same OAL as the mega-carto that comes with it.

Hi guys, I am having an awful time finding stuff to go with these batts. A lot of the ego stuff does not fit the larger threads and I wish I had something to cover up the threads/hold my ego landyard in place with a tank on. Any suggestions? I have purchased all kinds of cones and stuff, but nothing fits (without grinding them down on a grinding wheel, which I have done)...I am about to scrap the whole thing and just get a real ego...Help!!!

Hi Uniqua! If you have the V4L eGo, it is 808 threaded not 510. So are the "cones and stuff" you purchased for the 510 eGo models? Have you used the mega cartos?

Hi SAG! i know it is 808 threaded, but when you put an 808 threaded tank on it, the larger threads still show, so the thing has a body (battery), then a "neck" (exposed larger threads), then a head (the tank). I want to eliminate the neck by covering it up with something like a collar (turtleneck). I like the mega cartos, but they look so obnoxious and I have 5 tanks I want to use. Does this make sense? OMG...frustrated...

Now, add the nicely designed ego landyard (with cutout for the button) and it slides on the useless "neck" defeating the purpose of the nice designed landyard that should work...

I made a turtleneck to hide the unsightly/useless "neck" and keep the landyard in place, but the finish was ruined in the process, but allows me to use the landyard and hides the useless "neck":

I need to find a nice "turtleneck" to hide the unsightly/useless "neck". I have tried every shorty cone and collar out there, nothing works. Frustrated...

Here is a place that has eGo tanks that hide the useless "neck", but they are 510 threaded. Smoktech EgO Dual Coil Tank (DCT)
I wonder if the smoketech can make an 808 version of this and hide that useless "neck" and v4L would stock them for me/others. Otherwise, I am not happy right now and wish the batteries were not advertised as eGo. It is misleading as they are not compatible with anything but those ugly mega cartos that need constant dripping (there is nothing like a tank, period!). I still love v4L dearly, but they are losing me because of this...

I know exactly what you mean. I received my first tanks today. When I put one on the eGo, I just laughed because it looked ridiculous! So I've been using the tank only on my titan XLs. I have lots of 808 "stuff" so I want to try and stick to that type of connection. Hmmmm maybe V4L will add some things to their inventory?

Uniqua, I gotta say your third photo looks pretty nice.
This V4L Ego is the first EGO I've had. Being heavily invested in their 808 OVKs (and chargers and cartomizers) is the only thing keeping me from going to 510 based standard (or the new VV ego).
{{hmmm, note to self: consider offering up a bunch of that in classies to fund a 510 conversion}}

Personally, I really like the mega cartos for out and about (I'm pretty rough on stuff and really just as soon ppl not be looking at my juices, if U know what I mean ). I use tanks when sitting around at home but only on PTs, XL Titans and OVKs, and gives me the opportunity to use a coil with more ohms.

....so back to your trim pieces... as I said, this is my first ego, so I don't know any different. I tried the tank on it and perhaps its appearance about that "neck", as you call it, reinforced my perception/concern that the megacarts would be better for me when out and about and abusing my gear.

It is V4L branded now. I was under the impression that it was not going to be. Did the electronics change?

Not sure Cyrus Vap sir, was it the box or batt itself that is branded? Will still have to order one and let you know.
