I'd like to swap out the switch on my EH Pro Copper Caravela. I've searched the forum high and low, the 'net the same and have only found magnet mods for the switches on these clones. Does anyone know something I can swap the switch out to? I'd prefer one that is a flush type with a protective ring. I have arthritis in my hands and screwing the switch in and out all of the time is painful.

Thanks!:vapor:

This is not an exact answer to your question, but I saw it and something struck me.
Super-T Manufacturing has a couple mods that use a knurled ring to open the battery tube, literally 1/2 a turn and the whole thing comes apart and you pop a new battery in, 1/2 a turn and it's locked back shut. Convenient as heck. I've never thought about it in terms of accessibility, but it sure is accessible!

Cheapest one they make is $99.

If you are looking to just replace the switch with a different style/type then you are going to have some trouble. Threading is going to be the biggest issue you will have to overcome.

That was what I suspected Wraith, thank you. That is why I started this thread. I feel like I cannot be the only one who wants this....

If you want to try the Telescopic WorkHorse and don't like it they have a five day return period. If after five days I'd buy it from you.
The lock ring takes very little effort, either to open or close. The mod may have a couple drawbacks though, while it is a flush switch it has no lock. The mod is also probably relatively heavy if that's a concern and is quite big around at 24mm.
If you were just a wee bit closer I'd let you try my ELA. Ever get to Denver?

Ya, I get up there from time to time. Depends on what I'm doing and what part you're in whether I could stop though. Where are you at roughly? Do you get down here ever?

Anyway-Ya, that lack of lock kind of concerns me. But.... Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?!?! I was just in the hopes that maybe I could replace the switch on the EHPro-mostly because I love it otherwise. IT is very heavy-but I don't mind the heavy.....

I have not tried this mod so I'm not making a recommendation, but this Cronus style mod has a different kind of lock mechanism than most: Cronus Mechanical Mod Replica

Might or might not be easier on your hands.

My friend has the Chronus, and he enjoys the locking mechanism a lot. You gotta get used to it (a little bit) but it's super easy to lock once you get the hang of it.

I own a EHPro Copper Caravela, and as far as I know, the parts aren't really interchangeable with other mods (which would probably be your best bet). There are some magnet kits that work in the Caravela clone, but as far as I know, there's nothing that allows you to change the actual locking mechanism.

Ya, I've ordered the magnets and am waiting for them now. It may help. We shall see.

I know there is a B&M here that carries the Chronus, so I'll probably just go play around with it this weekend lol

Thank you for your help!
