Well crap! I really do not like the looks of this atty, but the high praise I am hearing from you guys is just too much. I guess I just have to give in and order one. Mercy. I can always wear a blindfold when I vape it or turn off all the lights in the den. (sigh)
It really doesn't look that bad DP. Kinda reminds me of my STM's just a little beefier. I've got about a week with mine now and I have to admit after trying several coil options with it I'm really loving this tank. Easy build, even easier wicking, clearly one of the best top fills I've tried and best of all NO leaks whatsoever. I did have to replace that stick drip tip though. Just didn't like the fit. Put the tip from an isub G on it and it's much more comfortable and looks better too. Doesn't seem to go thru juice as quick as my serpents with the same build and same power settings. Not sure why but I'm pleased just the same.

If you didn't wash the damn thing multiple times and rinse it in alcohol.
So, I see this over and again. Wash/clean your new tanks.
I've only tried this twice, once on an STM and once on a Crown.
Both had to return to the vendor because they would no longer read resistance.
Here's what I did:
Broke the tanks down to their components.
Dropped the components into very hot dish soapy water.
Left them for 5 minutes or so.
Agitated them (Hey your mother wears combat boots!)
Rinsed them repeatedly with cool clean water.
Dried them off as best I could.
Left them sit for a day or so.
Reassembled.
Failed to read resistance on any device I have.
I have stopped cleaning tanks now.

Where have I went wrong?

My Crowns and Subtanks have been washed numerous times

I dry whilst hot and blow out all remaining water, that's only diff to what you did

Then I rebuild on them straight away, never an issue

Maybe your mod requires machine oil to read resistance correctly ;)

You learned to love the taste of machine oil. :)

Just to be clear, you're washing the airflow base as well.

Harley chain oil is my go to juice...

Yep the whole lot

With subtanks its easy to take the few bits apart and dry

With my EHpro tanks I just blow out the water from the bases

I must have 30-40 tanks and all had the same treatment

Alright, I've had this thing for 2 weeks now. For the last 2 or 3 days, I'm getting a slight leak with this thing. I rewicked last night and everything was fine till this afternoon.

The leak seems to be coming from the airflow. The top of my mod is always wet

I remember hearing something about the seals in this tank and screwing the bottom on.

Or does anyone have another idea?

Mine gets that as well, and I believe it is the buildup of condensation behind the AFC ring. It's probably more prone to this for those of us that keep AFC partially closed.

This isn't condensation. When I tilt the mod to take a puff, juice drips off of it onto my chest. It leaves a drop about the size of a penny. There's something else wrong.

The airflow "leak" is likely condensation. All attys do it. The bigger the airflow the more the condensation. I also notice condensation on the outside of all attys..not much but just enough so I can feel it Vapers towel is the only solution to condensation.

No. And no. The top of my mod ends up with a PUDDLE of juice. I know what condensation looks like and this definitely isn't it.

Okay, so I thought it was my wicking. Replaced it and it's in there good. Still leaking. Replaced the seal that goes down deep inside the chimney. Still leaking. I'm done with this tank. I have several others and they don't have these weird quirks.

I'm sick and tired of faulty "engineering" by these manufacturers. If you watch VapnFagan's review on this, he talks about that seal I replaced. It definitely got stretched/twisted when I was putting the tank back together. Seriously, why do these manufacturers not see this flaw?

Definitely a great tank when it works... which is the case with much of the stuff coming out of China these days. Nobody should have to be a vaping scientist to get a tank to function or wick properly.

I read many reviews on things in here before I spring for them. This tank was an exception. Once I start seeing a lot of complaints, I do NOT buy it.

Each to their own, but I'm done with the Bachelor. The good thing was it only cost me $20.

Well, color me concerned as I just ordered two of these tanks to get away from the leaking I experience currently.
As an aside, I made a contact coil SS430, 28 GA, 3mm ID. Cut some KJD to 6 mm and wicked it with the usual 'S' method. Came in at .95 ohms. So far, great vape, great flavor, no leaks, which is surprising me with the Crowns. Been through three fills on two tanks.
There's always tomorrow though...

One thing I've noticed in vaping is that everyone seems to have different experiences and results. With this tank, mine was abysmal. The first coil went fine. The second one went fine till yesterday. After that, nothing but problems. Sad, considering how nice this one is. I actually like it better than the Aromamizer and that's saying a lot.

From my experience (and I'm not getting down on you) when I have a good experience with more than a tank, and then said experience degrades, it is something I am doing wrong. I've rebuilt a whole lot of attys over the 2 years I've been vaping and have only had a couple that give me consistent problems. If you went through that much juice (2 coils) without issue, it would seem that it's an O-ring issue. As someone said, some of the O-ring clearances are right and might need lubing before tightening. Yes that sucks, but are you going to chuck the whole design now?
