Got my Nano over the weekend and wrapped my first-ever coil in SS 316L (26 gauge, I think), 3.5mm, 7/8 spaced wraps which came in somewhere around .8 ohms (forgot exactly). Installing it caused me to realize just how badly I need glasses (or a magnifying glass) for stuff like this. LOL! Pulling the rayon through a spaced coil was a little harder than I thought it would be but I got the Nano rocking. Only had some leaking at initial fill up, but now it's fine (JFC is wide open).

This thing is so FREAKIN' adorable!!! Got it on my istick 30W for now, but I'm thinking it will be perfect for my Pico (wish I could find some o-rings for the Nano to match the pink Pico). Still haven't gotten around to trying out TC, but now I can play with it. :D

Congrats on starting wrapping your own coils!

Now that I've passed 40 I need to take my glasses off to do the close up work. I've always thought getting older just makes life more interesting but I'm not so sure anymore now that the physical decay is setting in, lol

Don't give up on TC if you don't like it with your SS coil by the way, at least try some titanium too, preferably twisted ;)

Oh, and could you post a pic of the Nano on top of the Pico please? I think they'd go really great together.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up using a pin from a broken subtank mini base which I cut about 5mm off and smoothed the cut end as best I could, seems to work very well. Initially I did try the alum foil but I was worried it may 'slide' into the airflow control assembly because if you notice under the 510 pin and rubber insulator there is a gap which leads right inside the AFC.

Absolutely appalled with tech 'support' from ehpro. They claim their 4.2mm 510 connector is 'industry standard' despite the fact it cannot make a connection with all of my mods (cuboid, istick, ego one) and despite the fact that I have 8 other tanks with 4.8mm-5.5mm 510 connector lengths, including their own Nixon v.2!!. They were very quick to shift blame to the Cuboid saying it's 510 is too deep.. yet works perfectly with every other tank I throw at it.

Disgusted with this company which refuses to accept they made a mistake and issue longer 510 pins.
The pretty much lost me as a customer when they refused to send me a replacement top fill seal and told me to buy another tank. Eciggity did make it right. But still.....

I've got some Ti Grade 1 in 26 gauge at home, but wanted to try the SS first, as I can use that both ways. Haven't had time to tinker with TC at all yet.

Will try to remember to post a picture at some point this week. Can I upload them directly or will I have to use a third-party hosting site to link it to?

Aaaaaaand it's leaking from the bottom again :grr:
Noticed it yesterday, big ... juice ring that was visible even with the atty on the mod.

Haven't been using it so much since this weekend, i use my subtank mini as my regular tank that i take with me to work since it's so reliable.

I think i'll try the pre wicked coil that came in the package, if the thing still leaks with that i'll try to return it.

I just made a coil out of two strands of twisted 26g titanium for my new full size version just to try it out (normally I use 28g). I had to go 10 wraps at 3,5mm to get the resistance up to 0,38 ohm and it barely fits in there but it works :)

So you've been here for 3 years and never uploaded a photo yet? It's about time then

I think you have to use an image hosting site but I'm not a 100% sure. That's how I do it anyway.

That sucks man!

Clean and dry it well before you put it back together, that seems to work for me. I only put a little VG on the o-ring in the chimney before I put it back together and leave everything else (besides the wick of course) dry. I also plugged up the two little holes on the deck again with my replacement Bachelor, just in case. I just filled it up ten minutes ago or so though, so it still has to prove itself. But I have a good feeling about this one.

Personally I can't go back to my Toptank again, the Bachelor ruined me for it with all this flavor :(

Keep us posted and good luck!

Loosening the tank from the base is the only way I did it. After I realized it isn't needed I forgot about it.

I realize it isn't necessary but find it a nice plus to be able to keep an eye on my wick. I can see like 75% or so of the wick with the Nano but on the replacement Bachelor I can't seeit at all. I figured if it isan easy fix I'd give it ago.

So how did you do it? Or did you mean you just kept it partly unscrewed to line them up?

Yeah it sucks.
I know, cleaning and drying it overnight helped the last time but shouldtn't be necessary so often.

I would plug the holes as well but i wont since i'm contemplating a return.

Yeah it sure packs some flavor, i get more flavor from the bachelor compared to my bellus, Gemini and my subtank minis. I do love the subtank mini though, so much that i ordered one extra the other day so i have one backup just sitting before the EU shoves the TPD down my throat.

If you plug the holes with toothpicks like I do you can push the plugs through the hole fairly easily with a piece of 26g wire to remove them. They'll end up in the bottom part where you can just rinse them out through the airflow holes under the tap.

I clean mine with very hot water, dry 'm as best as I can with paper towel, blow out the water in the base part and lets them sit on a paper towel in front of a heater for 20 minutes or so, doesn't have to take an entire night.

Are you in France perhaps? The new laws make no sense at all but luckily we'll still be able to get stuff from outside of the EU. Hopefully the rest of the world isn't stupid enough to adept those same laws.

A Nano just arrived at my house last night. I bought this to sit on top of a eLeaf Pico. It was easy enough to build on - getting the wire into the itty-bitty holes was the biggest challenge. Then came the wicking. I usually use Silica rope but was unable to fill the "juice slot" with rope so I reverted to cotton.

All seemed well until this AM where the tank level was down and it was leaking out the AFC slots. I'll have to tear it down and try again tonight after work.

It looks good on the Pico.

    Pics? :)

Sorry to hear about the leakage. It sounds a lot like the same problem I was having at first, did you make sure the o-ring in the chimney was in place when you re-assembled it?

it's easy to upload pix from your hard drive, once you get it there. here's one of my bachelor on my koopor mini along with my leek. once you write the text click on upload file, select the file from where it is on your hd. then select either thumbnail or full image. hit post reply and it's done. I used to have a blue Leek :thumb:

Blue Smoke I think it was called. Would be a nice match for your o-rings ;)

Where is the 'upload file' button though, I can't find it

I believe my leaking was all due to wicking issues. The tank drained through the AC so I don't think the upper seal had anything to do with it. (it was parked upright so no reason to leak)
Tonight I pulled the coil and put in 10wraps NiFe70 (used machine screw) and wicked with 3.0mm Silica rope. This time I was careful with the wick length and putting the deck back in. So far so good.
I had an extra vape band and put it on the top to help ensure it does not swing open on its own (ala TFV4), this is a nice little package.

It has a larger OD than the M3M and sits just a bit taller. If the JIC actually works when refilling it will be worth the upgrade. The single coil RTA without fiddling with a RBA head is also a bonus. I think the threading for one of my set screws is a almost FUBAR but it was able to grab my coil tight.
