anybody else have this experience? i drilled the drip tip which was ridiculously small and have the airflow wide open. helped some but still tight. i like alot of air. my 3.1 is perfect and has a larger intake. was wondering if anyone had drilled the intake of a lite plus with success and pass on the info. thanks for any knowledge shared.

Can you use a different drip tip on it? I have a Russian 91% and it has adjustable airflow control. Many people take the screw totally out for max airflow.

thanks, i had not thought to remove the screw entirely. it does provide a much larger intake port and not leaking. i not getting noticable improvement. there is still something internally restricting airflow. i will find the culprit tonight and post the solution later. poor clone of a clone design. they did nothing to improve/provide performance. rather they simplified by eliminating important manufacturing steps to save them money. the only thing that is still kayfun design is the deck, combustion chamber and fill port. what good is airflow control when there is no air to adjust. by the way, 6 mos. smoke free. 43 years of cigs.
it is fixed. there was a small shard of plastic inside the positive pin. it was so close to 1/16" i.d. that i went ahead and drilled the pin, the through hole and the outside port. filed the burrs off and i have enough air for the .8ohm install. never would have been able to see the problem without jewelers visor. hits great. i am finally satisfied with this device and was able to reinstall the air screw wide open.
Glad to hear you fixed the problem. I have an EHpro Kayfun lite and while I sometimes wish I would have got the Russian instead, it's still a great RBA and can't complain really.
I drilled out my Russian clone's air hole to 5/64" {.078"} with excellent results. Eliminates the whistle as well!
