Hi everyone.

I've read of different liquids that will cause a plastic tank to crack. With the ingredients of e liquid being pg, vg, nic, and flavoring, I can only deduct that it's the flavorings that causes them to crack....... Everyone says that vaping is obviously safer, but inhaling a chemical that causes plastic to disintegrate has me a bit worried. The only chemical that I've heard that people need to avoid is diacetyl, but I'm pretty sure that there isn't a correlation with that chemical.

Any and all input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You are correct, tis the flavoring that's the culprit. Cinnamon a citrus flavors are notorious crackers. tis why early on in me vape career, moved to full metal jacket atomizers. If a tank doesn't come with a full SS tank option, I don't get it.

Since going full SS tanks, have never cracked or broken a tank since. Tanks should be built like, well TANKS.!!!

Vape long and Prosper.!!!!!

Here is a great resource regarding "tank cracking" eliquid by ECF member Baditude: Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

Make sure to open all his links! Two of those links are:

* A blog post by ECF member The Ocelot titled "EEEKKK it's Melting".
* A "HUGE" list of juice and flavorings that may cause problems as far as cracking, fogging, or etching polycarbonate tanks (compiled by ECF member my4jewels).
