What's the difference? Is one better than the other for certain purposes? Heat tolerance? Wicking ability?
I apologize if there is already a thread about this, I had no luck searching.

EDIT: Upon using the great invention of google, I discovered my answer. Hollow is well, hollow, and threaded has a normal silica core. But I am still curious as to what the vape would be like with hollow versus threaded wick.

The hollow ekowool is a tighter braid with strands of silica in the center and tends to hold the round shape better. Threaded is quite loose and almost flat with no fibers running through the middle.
Just a note- the sizes are a bit different than regular silica and tend to run a bit larger, so if you need or want 3mm I suggest ordering 2mm. Found this out the hard way.
Otherwise, I love the stuff. Works flawlessly in my genesis.

Perfect, thanks for the info. Do you use hollow or threaded?

I use both and they seem to perform equally well- if you will be using it in a RDA then the threaded is a bit more forgiving for folding over, etc.
make sure you have a good pair of sharp cutters because the stuff unravels quickly also. I have heard that torching it helps to keep the ends from fraying, but I personally don't. I just try to handle it as little as possible or tie the ends with a piece of thread until I'm ready to use it.

Torching it works great for me. Keeps those ends behaving pretty well as I use it for a sleeve over some mesh. The end is a little frayed after I'm all done, but theres no wire contact there anyway so it's alright.

I have the 3mm hollow, the 1.5mm hollow, and 1mm threaded all from OKCVapes... Neither of the two I ordered hollow are actually hollow, they say so on the package but definitely all are solid.

Thats funny because I recently ordered some solid 3mm Ekowool from OKCVapes and it came in hollow...

I ended up ordering every ekowool OKCVapes has, will see which I like best. :) Although, I may start using cotton so this might all go out the window. xD

I used all mine, except for like a tiny piece of each. Don't get me wrong it is good stuff but I have stopped using it and switched to rolled cotton, it's stupid cheap and can handle everything I throw at it, seeing as I only roll micros now and I have a REO. For comparison sake though I did roll up a Eko wool coil on my REO over the weekend but I didnt think that it was as good as rolled cotton. The rolled cotton just seems to hold more juice and wick so much better for me.
