Has anyone used the new Air GS TC with a standard rebuilt non TC coil? Workee?

Bruce in Ocala, Fl
Yes and no...tried the TC tank and it's great! But used a rebuilt coil.
I will buy more of them when they up the capacity to 4ml.
Love the AFC and larger fill holes.

Your yes and no confuses me.

Will the GS TC tank worth with rebuilt GS air coils in a non TC iStick?

Are the TC coils different to rebuild than the usual GS Air coils?

Sorry, read your question too quick, thought you were asking if used with standard non-rebuilt coils...sorry.
The tank has had glowing reviews from everyone who has used it due to the better AFC and larger fill holes.
I really liked the tank with rebuilt coils.
The TC coils not so much, and I didn't bother rebuilding any as I was less than impressed with TC when I tried it.
The coils in the TC are vertical and I don't bother with vertical coils. Others love them.

bruce, the gs tank will take all gs air coils and the tank should work on any mod. if you use the tc coils than naturally the tank will work only on a tc mod.
i don't think too many people have rebuilt the tc coils, seems the coil heads are harder to open than the regular air heads and many were not all that impressed to begin with.
i very much enjoy the tank with 1.5 or 1.2 ohm heads in vw mode ;)

Hi!
I've read about the worries of the material in 1,5ohm coils, and I asked eleaf about it, here is the answer:

"
Hello friend,
Thanks for your email and sorry for the delay in replying.
Silicone is a kind of Amorphous material.
Have a nice day.
Best wishes!"

I was asking about the silica by the way, not about silicone.

Nothing to worry about--silica rope, AKA amorphous silica, is what you want; it's perfectly safe and has been used in our wicks for years.

What you don't want is fiberglass. ;)

There are different kinds of silica; amorphous silica, commonly used in wicks by all (or most) e-cig manufacturers, has been deemed safe by our resident chemists and is even approved by FDA for use in food and medicine.

Please read this post by tenshi, and this one by Boden, and this one by Kurt, our resident chemist and a person I trust completely in all matters related to chemistry.

More on the subject:

http://srs.unm.edu/industrial-hygiene/media/docs/silica.pdf

"Amorphous Silica: Multiple studies have found amorphous silica to be biologically inert when
ingested and inhaled, with the exception of extruded fiberglass and ceramic fibers (which have been
designated as carcinogens by the National Toxicology Program), which are hazardous due to their
very small size and their high length to width aspect ratio. Because of this inertness, the US Food
and Drug Administration permits the use of amorphous silica (not fiberglass or ceramic fibers!) in food
and medicine.

~ Yo Bruce: Yep Workee! Works Fine With 1.5 Stock, Stock Rebuilt and TC Coils. I do not have any 1.2 coils and For Me right now TC is just a little tough to rebuild on these Tiny Coils!

I Prefer the TC Coils with the Right Liquid & Device! But I use GS-Tank with 1.5 Coils with 50/50 Liquids on iStick Mini, 20 or 30 watt even 40 watt in Non TC settings with Great Results! Just like an M or MS but Better Tank Features! Higher VG Liquids work well/better in GS-Tank with TC Coils on a TC Device!

Example; GS-Tank with Yaeliq LHM 'Land of Honey & Milk' 70VG/30PG on top of Pioneer4You D2 75watt Mod set at 300 Degrees/30 Joules Tastes So Awesome and Can Blow Huge Clouds if You want for such a Little Tank. Local Shops I Freak Out Employees cause they are not Familiar with Tank, How can it do that is a Regular Comment! I think that those that are not happy with GS-Tank TC just haven't found the Right Settings or are using an eLiquid that Does Not Fare Well in TC!

Don't you think that Eleaf did a little research on TC before manufacture!?? I'm Not sure that the iStick 40 Watt TC can Ramp Up as Fast as some other TC Devices that's why this GS-Tank & LHM Juice is on a D2!
