I thought all 1.2's were single, vertical coil wicked with cotton. I can't find any other reference to dual coil 1.2s.

That's a dual horizontal coil. The 1.5 ohms ones.

Those were the 1.5 Ohm, horizontal coils with silica wick and cotton surrounds.

What are you guys using to wrap the coil? I thought I remembered reading something about a certain type of gauze but can't find it. Can all the coils (.75, 1.2 and 1.5) be rebuilt? I'm anxious to try one.

All can be rebuilt, but the easiest is the 1.5 dual coils into a single coil like the video shows. The 1.2 and .75 have a "manhole" cover in the top instead of a cap
and are vertical, single coil.
The gauze can be bought at Dollar Store, there is a picture of it in my blog: Relining The GS Air | E-Cigarette Forum

We are waiting to see if the new 1.2 coils are dual cotton coils...

Pretty sure they are the vertical coils, though Dual so not so sure! Anyone know if these rebuild like the old ones?

Ah..I see. I've never seen or used those. After the fiasco with the other 1.2's and since I can rebuild the ones I have, I've not paid attention to any new ones that came out. Oops!

I hadn't heard of them either and there has been mistaken ads before, thought that's what it was.

And since I build mine to 1.2, and can wick with cotton if I choose, why buy some already made right?

Rather than the gauze which is a real PITA to get situated just right and has to be messed with every time you either rewick or rebuild the coil, get the 325 per inch Stainless Steel mesh, once it is cut to fit the inside of the outer can, it tends to stay there while you are rewicking or rebuilding the coil, so you just have to pop the top back on and you are good to go! Do not get the 400 mesh as that wicks heavy juice about as well as solid steel!

But the 400 works just fine with 50/50 liquids. I use the 400 and so far I've been able to go as high as 65/35 in them. That's as high in VG as I will go as I hate using my inhaler.

I use max VG ejuice and I got nothing but dry hits with the 400 mesh, unless I primed almost constantly! I'm pretty much a chain vaper, as I was a chain smoker for all those years! With the 345 mesh it wicks perfectly, I'm pretty sure it would work the same with a 50/50 Ejuice as well, I do know it works well with a 70/30 VG/PG juice!

HMM summer is coming up and I vape 50/50 so something close to 400 would be about right I think.

Robert, 400 is all I have and I've been using it for months(well..ever since Tibs sent it) with 50/50 and 60/40. I haven't had a dry hit yet. And it's in all of my rebuilt GS coils.

Thanks, will get some 400. Just gathering rebuilding stuff for the GS Air coils.
Eventually I will have a batch to rebuild.
