Very bad idea! If you don't want to do TC with it, pull the coil and re-build in Kanthal! Personally I do both and the only difference is, you don't burn the wick when you forget to watch your juice level in TC!
Those were vertical coils, though, which to me are quite a bit more difficult to rebuild than the 1.5 Ohm horizontal coils. Not worth the trouble, IMO.

Nothing to stop you from re-building as a horizontal coil, I do it all the time!
Can't be bothered trying to build a horizontal coil of in that top cap enclosure - especially when I have the original horizontal enclosures lying around. Good for you, though. Not worth it to me.

Well, one thing. Once it is rebuilt as a horizontal coil, it is the easiest GS coil to rewick, since it only has two juice holes, you can just pull out the old wick and slide in a new one, without having to do major surgery, also no need for the inner wrapper of non-woven mesh or SS mesh, since the wick itself sticks out and blocks the holes just fine!

Good morning everyone. This morning I had to replace the commercially made 1.5 ohms dual coil for my GS Air-MS. The spent one was an Eleaf. The new one is a clone I got from FT because they were so much cheaper. I knew clones sometimes are good and sometimes not.

I had a nice surprise! What I got is a lot more flavor & stronger TH than I've ever had with any Eleaf coil! Same device, juice, nic and volts. I checked the ohms on the new one and it's spot on. It will be interesting now to see how long this coil lasts and if the other cloned coils perform as well. The Eleafs last me about 2-2.5 weeks.

How Can there be such difference when the parameters are alike?
