Instead of working with the inner coil diametor of 1.5mm, I used an inner diametor of 2.5mm and made a 1.5ohm microcoil. I've been vaping at 15watts for a couple of hours now and it's all good! I'll try going up with the watts when it breaks in, In Europe it's kinda hard to find Rayon plus I like the Japanese cotton better...

Please try the the build with the 2.5mm inner diametor, it's broken in and I'm at 17watts but I backed down to 13.5 because I'm vaping Vanilla Custard and as we know a silica 1.8ohm build is the best for it but on my build its doing very very good .. Lots of vapor and lots of taste which is kinda disgusting me right now (=

You're re building the 1.5 Ohm coils, right? Will a 2.5mm bit/rod fit in the wick slots?

can someone help me, ive a eleaf 40w kit with gs tc tank, and when I fire in watt mode it says atomizer low, no matter if its at 1w or 40w and all in between! so when I pust the middle button and go to the temp bit anything under 200c says temp control! and over 200 to 600f it will fire for a second and then say temp procted I don't get it,ide be so pleased if someone can advise

have you tried a different coil? and remember, you need a nickel coil for temp control but that coil won't work in vw, and vice versa for a regular coil

Kind of what i'm thinking is bad coil or wrong coil like a TI or maybe tried to fire a kan coil in TC and shorted it some how.

the coil ive got in it I put in a week ago, and just to be sure ive just put new one in and same thing, when my kit came it had a coil with it and I just brought more of them here a pic of the ciols I use, I think there right as they came with the gs tc tank. the coils I believe r fine as they have always worked wit no probs,

you are using nickel coils - they will not work in vw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but you have ejuice in the tank, right?

The stock TC coil that comes with the GS Tank is very low resistance, so it might be normal for it to read "atomizer low" when the iStick 40 is in VW mode. Not sure though, I'll have to try that.

If you are in TC mode and fire the atty without drawing on the mouthpiece (which cools off the coil), the screen will show "Temp Protection" after a few seconds. That is also normal. Mine sometimes even shows "Temp Protection" when I'm drawing on the mouthpiece - although it's hard to see that unless you're standing in front of a mirror. I think it just means that the device has cut off the current completely because the coil is hotter than the set temperature.

Does it vape ok?
