Good morning (it's 10am now where I live) to everyone!
As all of you in this thread finaly made my desicion by now, I've thought it would be nice to introduce myself and say "Thank you" :)

In a process of gving up analogues after about 17 years of smoking, about a month ago I started (maybe like a lot of people) with an ego format cigarette-like setup with Aspire CE5 (BVC 1.8ohm coils). Well, it was something new and interesting :) Really soon CE5 changed for Aspire ViviNova-S with the same coils - it was a bit better, a bit more tasteful. Later my girlfriend presented me with iStick Pico on my birthday and I decided it's time for some new tank. Firstly for taste quality and aesthetics as their restrictivness was just ok for a smoker of analogue superslims.

Being hasitating for about a week between Aspire Triton Mini (too small and 19mm and it's a Triton), Aspire Triton 2 (more direct-to-lung and a bit overengineered in my opinion) and Eleaf Melo 3 (more direct-to-lung but liked the design and engineering of it), I've seen and read a lot of youtube and text reviews, read a lot of forums and just wasn't able to make my decision. Finally I found this thread and, well, you made my decision fo GS-Tank.

Bought it yesterday and three 1.2 ohm eleaf coils (as I couldn't find any 1.5ohm anywhere in stock). And well. I'm a complete novice in vaping and I'm sure there is a lot of more tasteful tanks. But for me currently GS-Tank makes a lot of a difference in flavour, vapour and sensations in comparison with Vivi-Nova. With it I yesterday discovered I don't like sweet flavours )))
Again, being a super-slims-analogue smoker (still switching from them but at least lowered their quantity twice), I wanted similiar restricted inhale feelings. In GS-Tank with 1.2 ohm coils even one open hole of flow control is a bit of too easy ))) But I really like it for now. Really hope I'll keep liking the tank for a lot of time.
So, thank you everyone for this thread)

And one question if you please :)
I'm looking to order some more coils from China and I'm wondering wheather to stay on 1.2 or switch to 1.5?
Are 1.5ohm coils more restrictive or more tasteful then 1.2ohm? I'm not chasing for clouds anyway, wish a bit more tight airflow. Thank you :)

Congrats! I see in your photo you are using the MS (Shorty) tank. Isn't that the best little tank? And never leaks!

I dont recognize the base though. I have 5 of them and they all have Adjustable air flow. You might like that better since you are not into cloud chasing. See my pic.

As far as ohms, I haven't used the 1.2. Only the 1.5 and I really like them. In fact I bought a boatload of them for the dark ages but I plan to rebuild them after I run out.

And a word of advice. If you plan to buy some of these tanks to stash away be aware that FT sells clone ones but their air holes wont stay in whatever position you want them. The authentic ones are a little more expensive but worth it IMO. Also, you wont find authentic MS anymore - if you do let me know.

At least it doesn't leak for an evening and half a day. Hope it will not in future :)
Hmmm.. It's a GS Tank as named by Eleaf (22mm diameter, 3ml capacity) using GS Air coils. GS Air M successor being something in between Air M and MS?

It has adjustable airflow and I'm currently ok with "half a hole" open. Feels just like super-slim analogues.
Just refilled it as liquid I used ok in Vivi-Nova tasted too sweet for me in GS.

So 1.5s worth an order? As I can't find them locally.

Thanx for advice :) But I'm over the pond so I get stuff locally or from China stores.
I've got this one locally (in eleaf packaging with one spare coil and with authenticity code being valid) and I could find them in stock in a couple of shops for about $16. And I could still find GS Air M for about $15.

Actually, I'm pretty sure his pic is of the GS-Tank, which is 22mm in diameter and holds 3ml (I think). The MS is 18 or 19 mm - I forget exactly. Same coils, though.

I haven't tried the 1.2 ohm coils either. I think most people preferred the 1.5 ohm coils because they're horizontal single coils and are easy to rebuild. If I'm not mistaken, the 1.2s were vertical coils. Also, the 1.5 coils actually had silica wicks with cotton surrounds. I don't like the taste of silica wicks, so I rebuilt the wicks with cotton before even using them. I think many people didn't care either way and used them before rebuilding. Those 1.5s last surprisingly long before having to be re-built/wicked.

Right. The GS Air M and the MS are 19mm diameter. But they are all built the same and takes the same coils.

Oops, my bad. Your tank in the photo looks to me just like an MS.

Edit: I just took a more careful look at that photo and the top is not quite the same. It's flat where mine are beveled.
