It's the control module that's autofiring, not the battery. Improper assembly or even user error can cause the chip to do this or poor design of the circuitry.....but not the battery itself. I think they are talkin about replaceable batteries and not the integrated mod batteries.

Um... I use the term 'battery' to indicate the entire unit--when we discuss mods (PVs) with internal, built-in, rather than replaceable, batteries. As in eGo battery, iStick 20 battery etc... ProVari is a mod or a PV or an APV.

30W Eleaf iStick 2200mAh OLED Screen MOD Battery
I would go with 69.99 for a 50w with 2 day free shipping from Eleaf USA before paying 48.80 plus 17 shippin from HeavenGifts in China. 4 bucks more but if it failed you wouldn't have to pay but 3 bucks to ship it back. Plus 2 days versus 2 weeks? 4 weeks? But I'm not paying that much for isticks anyway.

Hi Bikenstein,
We honor the full manufacturers warranty as long as the issue isn't abuse or normal wear and tear. If the manufacture will replace it for us, we will replace it.
thanks,
Dave

I had something a little surprising happen to a coil this morning. It is a 2 week old stock coil that came with one of my new 'M's.' I was just thinking it was about time to replace it with a new coil when suddenly it starting tasting as good as new again. I checked the ohms on my mod and it was reading 3.3 ohms. Which tells me that one of the coils popped. So it is now just has a single coil going. But the flavor is awesome, so I'm still vaping on it. Anyone else ever have that happen?

I politely disagree. Most coils are DOA only because they are inexpensive and disposable, so it would make really no financial sense for the manufacturers to offer extended warranties on them. But batteries are expensive and non-consumable, and thus should be covered. Just like our computers, cell phones and microwaves are covered. How does one abuse a battery? If you drop it on your concrete driveway and it shatters, it's not covered and quite easily established. If you accidentally take it for a swim or get juice into the circuitry, it's also very easy to prove--not covered. But if a battery suddenly starts to autofire (like the 50s do), then it's a manufacturing defect and should be covered.
now you are talking about a mod and not a battery. a battery can be damaged by using a wrong or porly made charger that overcharges and slowly cooks them or by discharging them too far at high currents.this will dramatically decrease their storage capacity but show no external evidence of abuse.I just assume factory coils are junk and only buy them to get cores to rebuild.the circuits used in regulated mods are not exactly aerospace or military quality and can be a little unpredictable in terms of life expectancy. you may get a good one that will last longer than the built in battery or you may get one that will fail in a few days.most people do not want to pay for high quality components and these companies give you the cheap. low quality products that consumers are willing to pay for. this is still a very small market so companies are not going to invest a lot in R&D or quality control. the profits just are not there to justify that expense.

I have Linda but I had to back down on the watts to keep the liquid from burning.

This one is vaping perfect at 9 watts. I'm going to just go with it and see how long it lasts with the single coil. I would think it would be fine since that's how we're rebuilding them. Just higher ohms than I'm used to.

Eleaf US claims to be just a distributor. They pointed me to eleaf world as the iSmoka manufacturers web site.

Yes, Linda. It's happened a few times. The flavor is good, but the volume of vapor is reduced. In other news, baseball resumes tomorrow, the politicians are all telling lies,
and the sun came up this morning. And...A shipment of authentic eleaf coils, intended for our friend IMRs, came to me instead. Three have each lasted one day.
Luckily, I have a good supply of FT Clone Supremes to replace the dead ones.
