I killed a moccasin in my kitchen on a counter near the oven a few years back. I had a house on West Point Lake and also a large pool in the back yard that seemed to attract frogs and snakes. In the summer the frogs were so loud at night you had to yell to talk to each other sittin by the pool. Here they seem to stay on the other side of the lake. Huge bullfrogs. Tasty :) Maybe that's why they don't come around the house

Hello everyone, hope you're all having a wonderful day, just caught up in this thread. Y'all are a chatty bunch. :img:

Hope things get better for you Lynn, keep your head up. :angel:The unflavored is a great way to go, added flavors and colors may end up being a bad deal anyway. I'm trying to ween myself from the flavored and go unflavored to try and keep the health risks at a minimum.

I lost one of my original GS Airs, it dropped and the tank cracked. :(

So what level are you all filling up your airs to? I'm able to fill mine to where the glass and metal meet. At first I thought that it might come out of the fill holes and go down the chimney, but it just stays put. Haven't actually measured it though, so I don't know how much they hold using this method.

One bad thing about taking them completely apart to clean, you might accidentally unscrew the whole tank and end up with juice all over your lap, had it happen a few times already when refilling. I've done the same thing with both of my Lemo's.o_O

My daughter and I came home from an orthodontist appt one morning and walked into the house. We noticed the cat curled up at a spot in the living room that was not normal for her but other than noticing it we went about our business. I sat down at the computer, she went to the kitchen for food. She walked into the living room and yelled for me. There lay a juvenile copperhead curled up in the walkway. We watched it. Every time it was raise its head the cat would smack it. I dropped a bucket over it and then slid a piece of cardboard underneath it and took it outside. My neighbor said he would kill it. My neighbor said the head was just hanging on by a thread and it was almost dead then. The cat had gotten it. This was in October and pretty chilly outside so I guess it got in the house to warm up. The cat has since met its demise by drinking antifreeze left out by the lady across the street. :-x

So I loaded up the new GS tank last night using the coil it came with. I set it on my TC 40w, read the coil, locked it in and started at 300f and slowly moved up to 400f. That temperature seemed too hot so I backed it down to 350f. Not sure how this is supposed to work, but not sure I'm liking it too much. Definitely MTL set up, taste is a little jaunky. Because of the nickel? I must be doing something wrong because the tank and the mod get hot and I had some spit back; boy that was not pleasant. I used a high VG juice so maybe its having problem wicking or maybe I'm just use to chain vaping. I've never had a spit back problem with these tanks before and never had the juice so hot it burned.

The tank itself is about the same height as the MS and really looks great. Its a bit heavier and of course wider. I'm going to put a 1.2 coil is my other one today. The tank itself I like the nickel coil, not so sure yet.

Sorry about your cat. Antifreeze is sweet and tasty but toxic to pets and humans. The moccasin I killed was about 4 feet. But babies are still highly venomous.

I haven't used any factory coils but the ni200's I've built have a funky taste to them for a while. I thought maybe cleaning the wire would help. That seemed to help but still needed break in before the taste went away. I only like TC with my SX Mini. The rest I just run as VW mods.

I'm a big fan of temp control, but still don't think it's too well suited to the GS Air series... temp control is generally designed to prevent dry hits and tons of spitback... neither of which the GS Airs are prone to. To me, it seems not to do a whole lot with the GS... I never got dry hits or tons of spitback anyhow, so I don't see a tangible outcome.

That said, when I used the nickel coils in the Tank, I found that roughly 400F was my comfort zone with these coils. Spitback is generally a sign of flooding... the juice isn't vaporizing as fast as it's coming in the coil. You might want to try the 400F again and use it until some of the excess juice vaporizes and the spitback draws off a bit.

Babies are more venomous... they haven't learned to control the venom output yet and just inject as much as they have...

My first boxer was bit by a copperhead on two different occasions and survived both times. He was a very protective fella of my girls and didn't hesitate to take on any strange critters. Both times the kids were out playing and both times he killed the snake before we could get to it. Our vet told us that some dogs seem to have a natural resistance to snake bites. The second time, we just held his paw in an salt solution to draw the venom out and after a long night of staying up with him, was fine in the morning.

My boxer in the picture would probably run for the hills, he's not quite the warrior but talks a big game.

My outdoor cat seems to get bit by a snake in the fall. Every fall for the last 3-4 years. Me thinks he's using up his 9 lives. He'll disappear for a couple of days and then reappear with a front leg swollen to double the size of normal. He lays around in the house for about a week then he's off again. It's only after the swelling goes down that we see the fang marks.

Good to know about the "break in" period. I'm going to continue to use this a while before I totally bail on the experiment. I've always thought the regular coils tasted better after the first tank full.

I cranked it up to 400f like you suggested and the spit back seems to have lessened. Maybe its just subliminal suggestion! :w00t: I definitely agree, I've rarely had any problems with any version of the GS tanks. Not a lot of leakage, dry hits, flooding or spit back. I've wondered why they aren't more popular. I've never seen them in a B&M shop and hardly hear them mentioned outside of the ECF crowd.

Ah, now it is snakes...... I had one by front door about one month ago, the biggest rat snake I ever seen. At least six foot long and almost 2 inch diameter.

Probably they hesitate to carry them because of minimal mark up profit as well too many low priced items out there?

Have you tried to vape the tank upside down a few times/drags? If tank is not full, you will not draw in any juice when vaping this way. I usually do it with any tank when it gurgles, is flooded or giving spit backs.

I received my new GS Air TC tank yesterday. I love it! I even like the TC coil. I put my favorite juice in it so I'd be able to do a good comparison. Changed to one of my favorite drip tips and started playing with temps. I settled at 450 with 2 airholes open. It's so quiet! That must be due to the TC. But it really makes no noise at all. I'm not sure if I want to keep another type of coil in stock yet. Going to vape this one a while until I decide. I also have one of my favorite flavors that I don't care for in the GS Air that I want to try with the TC coil.

It looks super sharp on the iStick TC40W! Since I have 1 more 40W coming I may have to buy 3 or more of these tanks.

I do plan on buying at least 2 more of the tanks. They are so nice. Much better than the M and it's the perfect size for my Provaris and other larger mods.

We can't upload images from our devices anymore? I took a nice pic of it but there's no option to choose the file. I think I figured it out. Hope it works!

I love venison and other wild game. It was always a sad moment when I shot a beautiful animal regardless of what it was. I even will finish a fish as soon as possible to prevent suffering. I love chicken but hate to see them on a loaded truck headed for processing. But I am totally against trophy hunting and hunting just for sport even sport fishing. I relocate unwanted nuisance animals on my property whenever I catch one. My Dad taught me to not take anything that I'm not going to eat.
I hate that too! They look so cramped and if it's hot outside, they have to be burning up in that truck. :(

Agreed. Love the GS series for regular old VW vaping. I got a pack of the TC coils just to say I did it... don't get me wrong, they vape fine... I just don't really see a difference versus wattage regulation.

That said, I love ni200 TC vaping on the likes of my Subtank coil rebuilds and RTA/RDA builds. It makes a tremendous difference on a device that's pushing enough power to take advantage of it. I crank my vertical Subtank coils to 480F, 50 Joules (or the 40 watts on my 40W TC), and all is good... awesome vape. With my RTAs and RDAs, I get a little more squirrely on the SX Mini M Class...
