~ Its Real Good to see so many trying out the coil build on these! A Big Thanks to Cheechako for taking Javamon’s start and running with it! And Really Making it assessable and explainable to the masses here! Big Kudos on the Video as well! My coils are still running nicely with no signs of crapping out so may just have to take one of the working ones to try the build! Watching the mail for the Liner Material!

In your nightmares
Trouble with the original liner? I had the same problems reusing it.
Yes, cotton does swell, my preference is rayon.
Now I am using a 5/32 drill bit with 7 wraps, came up with 1.34 ohms, oops 1.35.
Thank you!
I took some new pictures for the build blog, editing them to get them up.
Can you get some pics of your builds?

This one I really like, how much is the cap on?

I will try to get pictures next time I do a build. I also have to see what drill bits I have. The cap after I put it on I press it down with pliers until it goes all the way down.

thanks Cheechako for the coil building video..
I rebuilt my first coil.. used 10 wraps 28ga on a 17 gauge needle with rayon.. for the outer layer wrap I used some of my old supply of Lipton pyramid tea bag material..

It came out to 1.4ohm and is vaping great.. I have used about 4mls so far and no flooding, gurgling or leaks.. :)

The Gs-air is quite the tank.. my gennies are feeling lonely, since I got it..

Thanks to the op for posting about it..

How are we feeling about coffee filters? Just a thought.

Cheeckako requested results from the wash and prolonged air dry efforts. Fasten your seat belts, Ladies and Gents...
Was doing my volunteer gig at the local library used book store this morning, confident that one newly filled tank and the new coil installed yesterday, together with a fully charged 30w istick would carry me happily through a few hours of pricing and shelving donated books. I mean, really, Dudes and Dudettes, what could go wrong? Those of you old enough to remember the blue screen of death will identify with my feelings when the display told me, "No atomizer".
Returned home, mood improved by miles of snow-covered meadows and especially happy because the ice in the river is starting to show bits of open water.
Put on the well-washed, patiently (Give thanks for the wisdom of our fine colleague, LVM) dried coil. Hit the big button, sucked nothing vaguely resembling vapor, checked the display. No atomizer. Disassembled, tightened, etc. Nope. Moved onto the not so thoroughly dried, but well-washed coil #2. Works fine... but...showing 3.6 ohms. Decided not to vape ohms, watts, or volts, but mango e-juice. Tastes pretty good.
Conclusions? 1. One dead coil (not 'infant mortality', more like toddler) out of six is not life threatening. 2. Wash and dry? Jury still out. 3. Not sure how fingers and eyes nearing 70 yrs. old will manage rebuilding, but I may give it a try. 4. I really like the GS Air and the spirit of however one spells camaraderie here. Thanks to all of you.

Brilliant! Thank you for the information. Wish I could disect the coil to determine cause of death...Atomizer autopsy.

Most welcome, Sir. I'll be happy to send it to you for forensic analysis, together with others that will have expired from old age or abuse. When I've accumulated a small pile of these critters I'll let you know by PM. But be warned! I will not accept diet cookies either by mail or telepathy. My dear wife has been baking some fine Confections lately. I swear I'll work off the paunch as soon as the snow melts (late May? Early June?) and I get back to serious
digging and transplanting.

I prefer the NO atomizer to the SHORTED atomizer. In my case 99.9% of the time its center pin related and fixed easily. UNLESS I have dropped the unit and sheared the coil (which I have done). Because I rebuild my coils after a while the rubber grommet sometimes will give a little allowing the center pin to sit a little high.

OMG! You guys know SO much about all of this. I don't even know here the center pin is!
Mud, you can not believe the day I've had. Getting the PM to you now.
