Part of the problem is that I would literally have to go out and get everything in that video. The wire cutters, the wire, the needle... everything, with the exception of the rayon, which one generous member has so kindly offered to donate. ;)
In case you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly the type of gal who just has that stuff lying around the house.

Edited because of redundancy.

You really don't, Lost. You can try to rebuild with whatever you have handy--even plain cotton balls from a drugstore, organic preferably. All you need is some kind of a metal rod (a drill bit, a piece of a wire clothes hanger from dry cleaners or a large nail, whatever, heck, you can even use a toothpick) ca 2mm diameter and you're set. You can use nail clippers or you can twist the wire off. Honest. That's how I started. Your istick will read your coil's resistance so you don't even need an Ohm's reader.

This sounds like a "time off from work" project.

Question: Has anyone had the following issues:

1- My Air tank always spits and pops at me. I have used a variety of wattages ranging from 8-13w with no difference and on different blends too. 50/50, 65/35 (high vg), 80/20 (high vg).

Nope. No spitting here. Snap crackle and pop sounds are OK, but not spitting. Check the connections in your tank, gaskets, o-rings... Lower wattage is necessary. It should not spit.

2 - I put a new coil into my tank and primed it. I am using a very clear juice. I didnt vape the entire tank last night and when I woke up, the color of the liquid had changed to brown/amber/caramel color. Is there something wrong with the coils? This happened with a previous coil as well.

Again, no browning here. I hate when that happens. The only atty that it to me was the eGo-C... And cartomizers, of course. Don't know what to tell you.

Well I think I have a coil that's on it's last leg. :( I'm vaping a juice that I LOVE, which is a little darker and I think it's shortening the life span of the coil. The ohms changed today from 1.5 to 1.6 and now I can't seem to vape it at as high of a wattage as I have been or I get a slight burnt taste.
Okay Cheechako, where do I send it?
Typed with a big, fat Tabby sitting on my lap between me and my laptop. Please excuse any errors.

This has always been my thought on it, there was a big debate a while ago on what caused juice

to darken. Between the heat and the .... wicking out of the coil...take a look at the coil I took apart on the blog, he's right, it goes both ways!

Many long debates. ;) Usually a combination of high heat (or not enough heat ) and all kinds of additives that end up as gunk on the coils. That's why I dry burn or rebuild often. Dirty coils are a bad thing.

Probably not, the only tank/tanks I have that do that are kanger subtanks. I figured it was due to that massive hole in the top of the coil exposing a relatively large diameter coil and lots O air pulling thru and up out of it. But I could be wrong. :)

I've had spitting cartos too. Usually it's da juice in da center airflow tube--or too much heat.

Birdie, I get the spitting all the time, and all the other Rice Krispies sounds. I notice the spitting mostly if I haven't hit it for a while. That's when I usually give it "priming" fire away from my face to let the juice pop out somewhere other than in my mouth. That almost sounds obscene.

thanks Cheechako for the coil building video..
I rebuilt my first coil.. used 10 wraps 28ga on a 17 gauge needle with rayon.. for the outer layer wrap I used some of my old supply of Lipton pyramid tea bag material..

It came out to 1.4ohm and is vaping great.. I have used about 4mls so far and no flooding, gurgling or leaks.. :)

The Gs-air is quite the tank.. my gennies are feeling lonely, since I got it..

Thanks to the op for posting about it..

Genius! Why didn't I think about it! I have tons of those. :p

Those of you old enough to remember the blue screen of death will identify with my feelings when the display told me, "No atomizer".
Disassembled, tightened, etc. Nope.

'No atomizer' means usually no electrical connection. The center pins don't make contact. The more you tighten your atty, the bigger the risk of depressing the center pin and making the contact even less likely.

Rule #1: Do not over tighten. Whatever you do--do not over tighten you atty onto the battery.

Try to pull that pin up a tad or get a few circuit board spacers from Madvapes. The links to MadVapes don't work here, for some reason, but this is what you need:

You just drop one of those into your mod's 510 well and you're good. :)

A little extra action after a long break is to be expected--as the atty is sitting idle, extra juice accumulates in the atomizing chamber and may get expelled violently. :)

Primer puffs help.
