Picked one of these up last week.

I was told this thing lasts 300 or so battery charges.

My questions is:

Are these charges FULL charges from a completely drained battery or can I partially charge this thing and smoke it while on the computer? Will doing that count as one of the 300 or so charges?

Also:

If the room I'm in is really warm will this cause the battery to drain faster?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The istick uses a non-removeable, rechargeable LiPo battery, so it is not safe chemistry. Unlike the external rechargeable IMR or LiMn lithium batteries (safe chemistry) which most other regulated and mechanical mods use. LiPo batteries can vent in flames or explode when they fail, and the iStick 50 watt has had some issues in this regard, so please be cautious.

Regarding your original questions, it is better to recharge frequently without completely draining your battery. Using the battery down to the point where it no longer has a charge is harder on the battery to recover than to frequently charge it (keeping it topped off).

Using your device in a warm room will not drain the battery faster. However, never leave a battery in open sun or in a hot car.
