Eleaf iStick help

My eleaf istick keeps dying on me and the message atomizer short comes on.

I have changed the coil and it worked for a few minutes before going again. I was using my KangerTech AeroTank on 3v or 4.6w
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or what I can do to fix it?

Well if it's working with 1 and not the other you should check the Aerotank first. Take it apart and clean it paying particular attention to the threads and clean the 510 on the istick then try again, since you changed the coil that should be fine, but there could be something causing the problem in there. The other thing to check is that your battery is charged as sometimes a low battery can cause these types of problems, not sure how well the Istick cope with low power so that might not be a problem here. Hope that helps or someone with one has a better idea.

This is a real puzzle I've done all that and it works ok on my Vamo v5. All my other atomizers work on the Eleaf iStick so I've just swapped them round.

Would like to figure out why it's doing it though - I don't like mysterys.

Yes, it's different but my KangerTech AeroTank Mega is the same and that works ok.

The faulty one is showing 0 oms on the Eleaf but 2.0 oms on my Vamo. Don't understand why.

Did you try slightly backing off on the tank? Might be crunching the battery post down.

Unscrew it a little. The post on the tank may be too far down, causing the 510 pin/post to not connect or work properly.

Look at the center pin on the Aerotank.
It is probably to close to lever with the threaded section. The center pin of the iStick may be touching BOTH at once.
DEAD SHORT
Compare the center pin of Both tanks - working and non-working

ah a wonky iStick..my first one is that way...I didn't fiddle with sending it back..I just fiddle with it..

my other one works fine, Ed's three have worked fine..as did the one I got my daughter, it's DEFECTIVE.

so send it back if it's your only one..as mine was and now I"m just used to it so I kept it..

Dave over at Mad Vapes sent me a connector and it just use it for the .25mm under the outside of the tank to prop it..to keep it from having that "wobbly" feel

if it's not the ohms of the coil, I use V2's works FINE with a Protank2 ....you get "atomizer short" unscrew it a bit to the point it's wobbly and it works great..

firstly don't use any sub ohm coils make sure that's not the problem.
you screw it in to the point you get "no atomizer" error to "short" error..there's a sweet spot then shim that lil connector in..(email them, they have a minimum of $15 fed ex shipping and that's silly for a lil .89 cent connector..so they'll pop in in an envelop for you, Dave sent me 3..I've got one under an other pin..and use the other two to "shim" )
