So I noticed that a lot more people seem to prefer the 1.8 bvc's over the 1.6. Is there a reason for this? In my 20ish or so bvc's I did notice that the 1.8's seem slightly more accurate to the 1.8 while the 1.6's seem to vary more (tested with ohm meters, not the istick). I have looked at the chart for the ohm/volts/wattage range, and I still dont get it. I mean they both have the same range of aprox 12-13 watts (albeit different number range). So why prefer the 1.8? I always assumed the 1.6 would be more popular since it gives a higher wattage on mechs with a 4.2v batt (which is the main reason why I went with the 1.6 instead of the 1.8). could someone explain it to me?

I do mostly rebuildables with my kfl's and drippers, but I wanted to know why others in general prefer the 1.8's
Well, the jury is still out on the iStick but I believe the output modulation on the thing just vapes much hotter than other mainstream devices. (i.e., the voltage settings on the iStick don't match those equivalents on other devices). I (and others) are low wattage vapors and need to increase our resistance to cool this thing down a bit. Right now I have a 2.7ohm kayfun build and it works at 3.0 volts. (That would be roughly 4.0 volts on any other devices I own).

If you normally vape at say... 8+ watts then this shouldn't be an issue. Just back it off a tad.

I also use the 1.8ohm coils in my nautilus mini and find them "tolerable".
