Hi all,

after reading on here that the VW mode is fine on the mini I have ordered one from here

http://www.efun.top/joyetech-evic-vtc-mini-express-kit.html

As I am in the UK with delivery it works out at about £24.00 which is a steal compared to UK sites and local vape stores are all asking around £45 plus.

OK might take a few weeks to get here from china but happy days

Since the VTC has updateable firmware, by the time yours arrives there may be a solution to the TC as well.

There is a V1.20 firmware that brings the VTC to 75W but still does not might have fixed the TC issue, they are checking it out in the VTC mini thread.

That was me who posted the pic. It never used to be there, ti mode just appeared one day, isn't on my other 40w I ordered in the same order and never used to be on this one. Got it in the first tranche from the eleaf UK site
Please describe your build... Wire gauge, etc.

Mine is:

28 gauge Titanium Grade 1
3mm spaced coil @ 0.5 ohms

When did you notice it? Were you flipping through the settings or did you check the screen and it was there, when previously it was in Ni mode?

Most importantly, did you notice much of a difference in Ti mode?

Just a blast from the past here...quick question (I think I know the answer, but figure I'm new with the iStick, so what the heck): I have a black iStick 20W that I received used, but it was working fine. I have used it off and on for the past couple of months, and as recently as last night with no problems. This morning I turn it on and decide to try using one of my Aspire ET-S BVC tanks (with adapter) and an Aspire BVC coil. Sort of a first time trying this combo. Anyway, the iStick fired up fine and seemed to be working great. For some reason I decided to take the tank off for a few minutes (don't remember why). When I pressed the button in the iStick sans the tank the light on the screen didn't go on. It was fine seconds ago, and I didn't drop it or anything. I tried putting the tank back on and still nothing. Tried vaping...nothing. Plugged it in..nothing. So I lightly tapped it on the table. It still didn't light up when I tried to turn it on, but when I plugged it in this time..the battery symbol thing lit up and it's apparently charging. It was NOT out of a charge when I was first using it today, though.

So. Long story short: I guess it's dead? Or should I let it finish the last bit of charging and see? Any way to fix it (for someone who is not particularly mechanically or electrically inclined)? I put the tank/coil combo on another iStick 20W (also gotten used) and it's working fine...of course I haven't taken anything off yet....

I saw a pic of someone in Ti mode a few pages back... Not sure if it is a hardware or software revision but I don't seem have it on mine?

Just read on a German board how it's done - how to enable Ti-Mode on iStick40:
* Turn device off (5 click)
* Hold Up+Fire-Button for ~20 seconds
* "Ti On" will flash on the display

Done. You can now choose "Ni", "Ti" or "VW" by pressing the middle button.

PS: The procedure can be reversed. "Ti Off" will flash and TI-mode is gone.

Glad it worked on yours cheechako, sorry it didn't work on yours, "Tibs" (may I call you that? :) ) - maybe there are different versions?
Couldn't believe it at first, but se Germans say it works on all of their devices...

Made a video - really takes forever to (de-)activate it, probably even longer than 20 seconds...

success with another attempt! but pressing the middle button provides nothing :?:

Sry, I may have formulated that part confusingly. All I meant to say was, you now have a third option (Ti) when browsing through the modes with the middle button when the device is back on :)
