Limiting yourself to buying only from local vape shops is your choice, but you'll be paying double the price from what you can get online. And if they aren't carrying the gear you need let alone know what you are talking about, why deal with them?

Order online. I don't know what online shops are near you, but My Vapor Store is a reputable online vape store you can trust. I've used them for several years without an incident.

You've been give some great advice. You can continue to use your current battery device, but you need a different "tank" that uses higher ohm coils for the "cooler vape" you are looking for. The tank you currently have is a sub-ohm direct to lung tank.

I’m just going to say it: what a d*ck. Barges in being a cantankerous curmudgeon, I mean, fine, whatever floats your boat. Proceeds to pretty much blame others for the fact that he’s been living under a rock for 9 years. Doesn’t want to figure out what innovation would fit his preferred way of vaping, pretty much demands help and then proceeds to delete his account.

Actually I think he had several accounts, as @classwife said something about that last night.

But yeah, with that attitude, I wonder why the folks at his shop weren’t falling all over themselves to help him.

He’s combative with everyone who can assist.

It’s one thing to be frustrated about not finding what you want - just ask nicely and I’ll bet someone here knows where it can be gotten.

It’s another thing to buy a kit that is so obviously not what you need and be too obstinate to acknowledge you made a mistake. And then go off the rails because there are things made on this planet he doesn’t like.

Yeah buddy, they make 200w mods just to hurt your feelings!

Saints preserve us.

Ah, thanks for clarifying.

Even worse:
I told my wife I wash my hands of this whole mess, just go pick one and if I don't like it i'll just send it back..

That being said, I understand the frustration with shops and some people that work there that have a bias towards a particular way of vaping. Having missed 9 years of development and having to catch up must not be easy. But it’s difficult for me to imagine that no-one in the shop went “Fine, you want minimal performance? Here’s a pod system.”

I think a Nautilus AIO with 1.8ohm coil should be fine for his needs.
