Hey it's all fixed (I think). Your suggestion of basically take it apart and put it back together worked. I didn't need to clean or change the coil. I basically took it apart, had a look at where the liquid was coming from, and decided the only way that much liquid could come out of the air intake was if the coil was not screwed on tight enough.
For others having this issue, try tightening the coil just a bit harder than you are comfortable (i realise over tightening is also bad).
