Has anyone tried a Merlin on the Pico yet? If so, how was it?

It's plenty accurate. I believe quite so, according to Djlsb.

If you're running 316 with a nickel TCR (~600 whatever), when it hits a temp protect set at 270F... you're actually right back around 450F where you'd probably be if you ran it in either SS TC or with a TCR around 100 (+/- 10). But doing so inaccurately.

Went back to SS mode in TC. Thanks for the info about that.

You say you're familiar with the trick from your DNA40 (SS in Ni mode).
But you don't, or shouldn't, want it with a working SS TC or even better... TCR Adjust.

The only way to keep it out of TC mode on the dna 40 is to build higher than 1 ohm, otherwise it flips randomly in and out of TC. I wish Evolve would update the dna 40.

And the Pico has both.

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on 2 Serpent minis. Just incase I don't like the look of the Billow V2 nano or the Bachelor nano. Still waiting on my Pico. If it's what I hope, I will probably have a Pico for every nano I own. Yea...... I'm excited.

I just got a serpent mini. I think you'll like it, but those horizontal open build posts with teeny tiny grub screws are not nearly as easy to tighten down as they appear, at least with 28 gauge Kanthal. It's probably better with a thicker wire.

Thats a silver surface tablet in the background for reference.
I have the gray too (2 of them) normally I would go with white or stainless,, but I thought it looked classy and different and in the light it sort of matches my car.

I ordered the grey Pico thinking it would look as it does in the pictures on their site (a dark grey). I wanted something that was different from the black/white mods I have. It turned out to be a greenish grey that I wasn't too stoked about. But it has grown on my and I like it now.

I drive a green bmw,, the green seems 'rare' so I like it even more.

The Egrip II arrived yesterday. Unboxed it today. It is almost the same in height as the Pico + SM combo. But much heavier than the Pico setup.

Tried the notchcoil that came in the kit. It spits back like crazy. Maybe I'll try the RBA head next. Need to rebuild first as I don't like the stock coil in the RBA.

The bonus with the Egrip II is that even if I don't like any of the coils, I can use the 510 extender and put the Serpent Mini on there. Use it like a box mod.

Just a question for those of you running the v1.01 update. Since doing the update, my pico stops at 63 watts in VW mode. It will read 75 watts in temp mode but not in power mode. I don't usually vape above 20 watts on my rtas but wanted to ask if anyone might be able to explain this one. Other wise the mod functions fine. Thanks! -Bill
