Got a glitch to report with a virtually new Pico…been using for slightly above a week…rotating with an istick….so no heavy use….battery swapped out before it auto shuts off….MTL only.

I tend to turn it off at night with 5 clicks and then restart in the morning.

This morning I tried to restart and it wouldn't start up….had to do it 3-4 times before it came on. Tried it a couple of times after…same thing. But when it comes on, it works fine.

Is this a known glitch and what to do?

Maybe just don't ever turn it off, if I can help it?

You need 5 deliberate clicks to turn it on or off. Apparently clicks that are too fast or too slow tend to not register as one lol (thanks to the silicone-sprung fire button, it's actually easier to not register a click than you would think).

If you're doing deliberate clicks and it's still not turning on/off, you might have an issue with your firing button.

For me I keep it on all the time *until* I slip it into my beltpouch/pockets - haven't seen any issues yet, unless I get sloppy with my clicking.

Good catch. I've noticed this too but it has never really bothered me too much... I always thought it was just the chips (shared with RX200 and the new Wismec VFs - anyone notice weird batt indicator behaviour with those mods?).

Hopefully it gets fixed in the next FW update... whenever that might hit. That and the "mysterious-watt-decrease" syndrome.
Yes I noticed it too, but like @eiraku didn't think too much about it.

Its weird…there's some very normal/minor-to-the-touch play in the firing button now that Ive used it.

I just tried turning it off and on and the same thing happened….if I click it 5 times very deliberately, the machine thinks Im firing it.

Takes about 2-3 tries before it works….on or off.

But when on, fires like normal….I was just clicking it on the way Ive seen the reviewers on youtube do it.

I can't wait until the full black & full stainless version hits stores. Waiting on rockymountainvape, Dave stated they ordered.

Wow, didn't even know about that until you mentioned it. The full black one looks nice! The polished portions of the standard ones look good too though.

My vtc mini shipped same day. I dunno if I should even take it out of the box, but that would be a waste. I only have one 18650 battery, so I'd have to take it out of my Pico.

Again, very much appreciated, kind sir.

Now scouring FT for 361L wire and precoiled 316L claps to play with on the Diablo's velodecks.

That "the Pico has more accurate SS TC than the 213W" comment intrigues me as I'm also somewhat interested in the 213W as a possible future purchase.

How do you otherwise like your 213W compared to the Pico?

There was a time, way back when, when the "Mini" version of something usually meant that they were longer AND thinner (aka Kayfun Mini, Taifun GS). Nowadays "mini" usually just means chopped up shortened tanks lol.
Yeah there chopped up and short, but it's getting be there more sought after. I think more people are interested in low profile devices than they were 6 months ago. Im not using my 200 watt mod as much, except on I occasion at home.

With the FDA Dooming Regulations I figure it's time to check out rebuilding...

When I searched for Wotofo Serpent Mini a number of sites listed it as: "Extremely easy to build"...

For someone who's never rebuilt a coil...is it something one could "handle" (with a couple YouTube videos)???

I think so. Do you have an ohm meter? (Not on your device although yihi m class is an exception) Wrapping a simple coil is easy. A screw driver works. With this device the serpent mini you need to clamp the legs well and firm but always check your ohms for shorts especially closing the chimney down over the deck. Take your time and if it's not reading the same ohms(or close to) check for the wires not being clipped close enough to the posts. That seems to be what I've ran into mostly. But yeah single coil should your best bet to learn.

I received the silver one today. It's pretty. I'm trying it out for a bit, then it goes in my Vapocalypse stash. I still like my pink the best. I got some silicone cases as well.

I finally decided I would have only 2. Then someone had to post that there are solid black and stainless versions. I really like them both!

THIS!!!!! I've had the same issue with mine with getting the clicks just right.

It's a single coiler so seems like it. There's ample space on the deck but as it's not a velodeck-type, so keeping the coil centred might be a little bit of a problem.

Alternatively the Bachelor Nano, which is completely post-less (and also single coil) so you would have less of that problem. With the Nano it's as simple as cutting your coil legs to the correct height, putting it into the post holes and screwing it in.

"FDA-Pressured-Never-Built-A-Coil" Vaper here...

What's a "velodeck"???

Does the Bachelor Nano have a velodeck???

Would the post-less Bachelor Nano be more appropriate than the Serpent Mini as a "Starter" RTA???

..

A velodeck is a Velocity style deck- meaning you have a 2 post 4 hole design. when placing the coils you go kitty corner- so coil (A) would go in the bottom left hole, and the top right. Coil (B) would top left, bottom right.

Thanx Steven...

Knowing nothing about rebuilding...I think I'd probably start with a Single coil...

Can one build a single coil on a velodeck (using which holes)???

The 25mm Griffin and a lot of the Goblin Mini V2s, have a Velocity deck, with blocks or plugs to close off one of the sections. (The build on a Goblin is small, and for a first time user would be tougher than a Griffin)

To help center the coil nicely, the method of using the opposite hole on each pole would still come to effect. It would not matter if you chose top right, to bottom left- or lower right to top left.

For total ease of rebuilding than I'll have to stick with my initial recommendation: The Bachelor Nano. Why? Because it's post-less and the only thing you have to be careful of is getting the coil-legs right.

However, with the BachNano, single coil is all you'll get. I don't see any options at all for dual-coil building.

As for the Serpent Mini, I *think* you can sneak a dual-coil build in there... but it would be rather cramped.

There's also the Pico (Tank) to consider if you want a single coiler. It's a modified/modernised Taifun after all so I can say with certainty that it would be quite easy to work with. After all, the Taifun was the tank that was easy enough it got me off cartotanks.

That said however, from videos I've seen of the BachNano, it *still* seems to be the easiest to build on so far.

The Goblin Mini V2 does not have a Velocity style deck. It's the good ole Orchid style and I don't advise it for a new builder.
