The 25mm Griffin and a lot of the Goblin Mini V2s, have a Velocity deck, with blocks or plugs to close off one of the sections. (The build on a Goblin is small, and for a first time user would be tougher than a Griffin)View attachment 556589
To help center the coil nicely, the method of using the opposite hole on each pole would still come to effect. It would not matter if you chose top right, to bottom left- or lower right to top left.
Is there a block like that for the 22mm Griffin?

The Goblin Mini V2 does not have a Velocity style deck. It's the good ole Orchid style and I don't advise it for a new builder.
The G.mini v2 has a velocity deck, huh? I didn't get a v2 with that deck. I bought 4 (v2's) way back when they first came out. With same 3 post as v1... Good to know then. Thanks

I don't know what you are trying to say here? I was correcting some misinformation from another post that stated it had a Velocity deck. :)

There actually *IS* a GobMini with a velodeck lol... it's called the El Diablo. Plus it even comes with a AFC that is less of a PITA to deal with.

I have one in my FT cart just waiting for payday. Mmm... maybe I should get another Pico for it too lol... like the stealthblack.

Ultra Member KayP says that the ceramic block fits both like a glove, however could not find an authentic Geek vape- only some fasttech clones:

Geekvape Griffin RTA!

I swore off Eleaf products after 3 isticks bit the dust in quick order however I like what I see with the Pico form and function and Im thinking of picking up a few. Is there any issues or complaints yet that would warrant me to pass them by? Im guessing any small issues could/would be solved with a firmware update? The one thing that stands out is the battery cap looks kind of thin and cheap and maybe prone to stripping easy? Thanks for any advice!

I hope you folks have better luck wicking those Goblin Mini v2's and Pico tanks then I did. Bought 2 GM's, and one Pico clone with pre-built coil adapter, no wicking needed when using the adapter, tank dumped the entire juice tank overnight. Not much better with the GM V2, leaked. Put both away had to go back to leak less tanks like my Cubis, and new Eleaf Leyche tanks. Probably just me.

I'm finally (after the span of nearly a month) getting to grips with the GMv2's finicky nature.

It's definitely a great RTA, just that it takes a while and a helluva lot of practice to get used to wicking it... and in my case I didn't have another tank that I could use on the Pico (which is my *only* regulated mod) so it was all or nothing lol.

For me (and my MTL-ish draws), I've found that GrimGreen's method of wicking to be the closest to what works for me - cut cotton slightly above chimney, fluff and stuff down, keeping the airholes clear.

Also, every refilling involves a "ritual" of closing the AFC, refilling, leaving the tank upside down for a bit, re-opening the AFC, blowing through the tank while it's upside down to clear the airholes, then sucking on the GMv2 a bit to re-equalise pressure.

So far, no leaks thankfully. It does get *slightly* dry if I chain vape too long, and the condensation around the AFC is always a pain... but that's about it.

I do have a Diablo in my FT cart though, with hopes that it would be less of a hassle to built with then the GMv2... Also, trying to decide on a companion tank for my second Pico: Either a TFV4 micro so that I can play with the myriad of premade multi-coil heads on those... or a Melo 3 so I can play with Triton heads.

I got mine on March 31st and still love it so much that I haven't even once touched any of my other mods since then.

Thanks, you have more patience then me. Almost all my tanks are ones that take pre-built coils, most have RBA, so I'm covered when the FDA ban takes effect, may never see pre-made coils again? It's possible, unfortunately. So on that note I felt I needed ONE great RTA, so minutes a go I ordered the new KayFun 5. Probably look to huge on my Pico's and VTC Mini's, but will look fine on the VaporShark DNA200.

The Bellus also has a "single coil adaptor" block... and a Velocity deck.

I love the vape I get from mine both single and dual, though others will prefer the more open build space of some of the larger RTAs out there. YMMV.

Just to get back on topic, sorta... I'm looking at that sexy All Black but also the new VTC... the VTwo Mini. They went nuts with nine colors out of the gate (and brought back the original 3 muscle car paint jobs, and five solid colors, on the full size VTwo).

So I'll probably get both. :p
