Guys just got a eleaf I stick 20, Had my ego at 4.8. With a kanger aero tank and a T3 what should I start with on the volts and watts?

I always use wattage on my istick rather than volts. It does seem like the output on the istick is higher than what the display reads, I might start around 4.0-4.2 volts and work up

Im going to say if its 1.8Ω start at 8 watts or 3.7v then adjust from there.

Hello and welcome to the forum Jim. Glad to have you here!

Choose which mode you wish to use -- watts OR volts. Start at the lowest and slowly raise it up until you find your *sweet spot*. If you start to get a "burnt taste" (we call those dry hits) back it down a notch or two.

This is me. Ego at 4.8 trying to figure out the istick. It seems to give me a burnt taste at higher wattages so I vape way lower than my ego. I'm at 4 volts today and doing fine with that. Sometime I have to drop it down to 3.7.

Here is why you have to do this with the 20watt iStick.

There are a few problems with regard to the iSticks circuitry (it measures mean not RMS). It is not capable of down regulating power (it is widely inaccurate, especially at lower voltages). As long as you're aware of it and don't need a battery that can output voltages between 3v and 4.2 volts, you may like it. It does go up to 20 watts (but only using a 1.1 ohm coil).

I have a istick 20w im at 1.8 coil at 6.5 watts and 3.5 volts, also using a kanger giant with all the air holes open.

Start low and find your niche. On my Protank 3 with 1.8ohms I'm usually chillin over 4.0v, usually don't go past 10W. My vivi nova reads 2.9 ohms and I can't get much more than 3.5v without that burnt taste. Remember that clicking the fire button 3 times toggles between VV and VW.
