Depends on what you like! :)
My fella and I are using the Kangertech EVOD 2 at the moment, but we're just getting back into vaping and quitting smoking at the same time so it needed to be reliable and cost-effective. Basically he went to a shop that sells e-cigs and asked the clerk what was popular and this is what she recommended. I like it so far.

Start somewhere easy and move forward once you have a better idea of what you want, that's my advice.

What kind of electronic cigarettes should I choose if I want to give up smoking?

That is not an easy question to answer. It is like asking: " what car should I use to drive?". Everyone will have a different opinion. My suggestion is the same as Romano's. I'd visit a local vape store and ask them.

there are sooooooo many choices now.
you best bet is to try friends or if vape shops in ur area allow testing of hardware(maybe) and juices(they should).
but u also need the right juice for "you".
juice meaning flavor, nic, vg/pg ratio, and there are too many juice companys to choose from.
some people try many combos of hardware and juice b4 they can actually quit smoking, so never give up , never surrender.

you might like a cig-alike - a battery/cartomizer/tank combination, a pipe-alike, or you might like something entirely different, like a regulated box mod/updated glass tank combination. Try surfing through some "forum suppliers" (tab up at the top) and see what catches your eye. Decide on your budget and then do a search on ECF for that device and see what other people say and what deals you might find. Kinda like buying a TV - do a little windowshopping first. The first thing you see may not be what you end up buying.

When asked what gear to start on I normally recommend an iStick 30W or 50W paired with the Nautilus Mini. I started with a blister pack (far left in pic below) and threw good money away getting to a reliable and "great" middle of the stream vape experience. The tall round battery in the middle is the Variable Voltage Spinner 2 with the Aspire Nautilus Mini (works decent), and the black box "mod" (right of center)is the iStick 50W with the Nautilus Mini. I bought the 50W iStick because I wanted a long lasting battery (4400 mah) and loved it so much I bought another one for a back up (silver far right).

The desire to quit the stinkys is the most important step. Regardless of what you start with, it can always be the backup most vapers keep in case a coil fails or a battery needs recharging or any other issue that can occur. It's always better to have a backup than to grab the cigs again.

Good luck in your journey.

Deciding what gear to start vaping can be an overwhelming choice. My advice would be to do as much research as possible. Learn the lingo and terminology. Read what has been successful to experienced vapers on this forum. No one starter setup will be perfect for every individual -- that's why there are so many options.

I can almost guarantee that whatever you choose, you'll end up upgrading at some point down the line, so don't fret too much over your initial choices. The important thing is to just START and learn what vaping options fit your particular expectations and needs.
