I just received my replacement battery and charger in the mail from Premium E-Cig. After charging and giving it a try it seems pretty harsh on my throat. I also tried multiple cartomizers to see if that made a difference. Is the vapor a bit harder than analog smoke? Is it something I need to get used to? I also consider it may be the brand, however I have seen others take large mouthfuls and inhalations with no problem. I appreciate any help on the matter.

Some have a harder time with the vapor when first starting out. Other issues could be the juice you're using (nicotine level/particular flavor) or running a little too dry. Are you using pre-filled cartomizers or are you filling them yourself? Also, which kit are you using so we may better answer your questions.

Thanks for the many fast responses everyone! Definitely keeping this as a top bookmark.

Unfortunately they are pre-filled cartomizers and I can't change the content nor do I have any idea to open them. I will take the mouth hits to being with into consideration. I have to go to work for about 6 hours. I will check this thread when I get home.

Again, I really appreciate everyone's input. I'm happy I have somewhere to go to for answers.

PR110 might be a KR808D-1 - not sure.

If so, this thread will be useful to you in the future so you don't pay too much for stuff like batteries etc.

Compatibility chart (calls your Premium I think)
Brand and Model Compatibility Chart - E-Cigarette Wiki

Anyway - if it is a KR8 then there are variously things that can affect harshness

1. There are different types of cartomizers and some run hotter than others. I believe the cooler ones at Vapor4Life are called "Coolcarts" and generically are (I believe) Boge cartomizers for KR808D-1. The hotter ones have more TH from what I've read.

2. I found the draw fairly loose on the hotter kind of carto - I have not tried a coolcart yet. If I sucked that as hard as I dragged on cigarettes I would get too much vapor. And I didn't even drag cigarettes hard at all.

3. What's in the carto - that's also the big question. Many hardware sellers just sell or use plain inexpensive made in China Dekang 100% PG ejuice. There are 2 kinds of glycol used in ecigarette juice. PG is Propylene Glycol. PG has more TH, is thinner, and lets the flavor through a bit better. VG is Vegetable Glycol. VG is more vapor, thicker, a bit smoother to breath, but a bit sweeter so it can mask flavors a bit. Many people like ratios like 70PG/30VG, 80PG/20VG or 50/50. I use 70/30 and find it pretty smooth compared to 100% PG.

If your PR110 really is a KR808D-1, then your could try some of the prefilled Coolcarts from Vapor4Life-Because it's your life - E-Cigarettes/Smoking Alternatives to see how you like those cartos.

You could dilute it a little by adding a drop or two of Glycerin into the cartomizer (or into your liquid bottle). You can get a 6-ounce bottle of Humco Glycerin at Walmart on the shelf above the isopropyl alcohol bottles. This is the same as VG and will dilute the PG and nicotine, give you a little more vapor, and reduce the harshness to your throat.

Throughout my work day I gave the cartomizers another shot. After moving from mouth hits to inhaling I have gotten used to the vapor and it feels much smoother. It's still feels odd for me but then again it's still my first day. But from what I'm experiencing so far I don't want another analog. I also had a drink around when vaping which helped a bit. If things continue going well I would like to try getting into juice and working on an even better vaping experience.

Does anybody else notice that the first vape of the day or after not vaping for a while can be downright nasty. I can load up a carto that I was chain vaping the night before and take that first hit and it will burn my throat like crazy and just generally taste yucky. After a few hits though, it starts to taste good again. Makes me wonder how good this could really be on my throat.
