Yeah thats the problem...hundreds of them. Thought maybe some of the electronics gurus out there deal with any good ones on a regular basis and have good prices.

No no, I mean like components, switches, diodes...that stuff. Like a Radio Shack on steroids.

Try mad vapes they have battery connectors, switches regulators, leds and so on so forth.

If you are looking for specific parts, it does not hurt to use a specific search engine. I use FindChips.com Search It is very fast and searches most major distributors simultaneously.

Sometimes other stores like Marlin P. Jones (MPJA - Power Supply, Power Supplies, Security Cameras, LCD, Fans, Etc.) have interesting stuff really cheap, but it is like going to TJ Maxx or Ross.

Not sure if they have a US agent, but try www.rswww.com

They have everything from simple components to tools to well just about anything for a workshop.

Have a look. Even if you find they do not have a US agent, they have datasheets on virtually all products so they are a useful technical library as well as a supplier.

I have just ordered my dc-dc converter from there and I have a full datasheet on that.....

OK Larry, I mean nicotime, all the Mouser Digikey and RS are great, I use them all the time, but someone like you needs to check All Electronics | Electronic and Electro-Mechanical Parts and Supplies at Discount Prices then Circuit Specialists Inc. - 0 and Welcome to the Saelig Online Store - Unique Electronics too, that goes for you CrashTestjeep, would have given these links to you sooner but you don’t have a steam engine for a toy and haven’t done something like his work on the SFY Plug. Thanks guys...I like All Electronics...its got pictures for idiots like me.LOL

Oh and Charlie...thats not a steam engine...its an old hit & miss engine, no generator needed. It does have a magneto but I just run it off of an old Ford Model T Buzz box, or the primary side of the old coil off of my 74 Cuda.
