What kind of ecig is it? Are you using an atomizer and cartridge, or a cartomizer?

If it is a typical atomizer and cartridge, you can take the cartridge off and hold the end the goes into the atty into a paper towel. Then blow into the end you normally suck on. This will force any liquid out of the airways on the sides of the cartridge.

It is the Joye eGo. and yes it is atty and separate cartridge. Before I got an answer I blew through it with it assembled. Seemed to work reasonably well. This action would seem to put the excess eLiquid on the atty. Is that what happens? Wait. I need to look closer at a cartridge to see how it works..

K. Thanks...
I've got some more study to do.

The cartridge has a center section that is sealed at the mouth end. That's where the filler and juice goes. On two sides, there are little slits - this is where the vapor comes through and out the mouth piece.

If you overfill the cart, little drops of juice can get into the slits while you are using it. Then the juice gets into your mouth and burns your tongue. The burning sensation is usually from the nicotine.

So blowing into the mouth piece forces the juice back out those slits. I do it with the battery disconnected because juice can build up around the battery connector and make a mess (or on unsealed batteries, kill the battery, but I believe yours is sealed).

I have kept my ego laying down over night a few times with no real problems. It IS possible to flood the atty that way though. I believe a lot of people will break down their ego at the end of the day and blow any excess liquid out of the atty. I guess I'm a little lazy about that, but only because I'm pretty hardcore about cleaning my attys on a regular basis anyway.
