The "conventional wisdom" runs something like this:

36mg-Unfiltered Pall Mall, etc.
24mg-Marlboro Reds, Camel Filters, etc.
12mg-Lights
6mg-Ultralight cigs.

Also, 36mg is getting into scary amounts of nicotine, imo - if you accidentally get 36mg e-liquid in your mouth, you'll probably regret it. Nasty, nasty stuff.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the nicotine hit doesn't seem to be as -right now- as with an analog...it can creep up on you.

If you can feel it, then it's all good. (Yeah, yeah, insert 'That's what she said' here, ya sickos)

On top of the generally accepted conversion, there are just so many different factors that also play into throat hit and nic delivery that you can safely ignore much of what you read - even in a great forum like this one. Voltage, resistance, atty vs. carto vs. tank, yada yada. Whatever makes you say, "Wow, that's the stuff!" beats what some random ECF poster (like me) thinks, every time.

gordong11,
I had the same problem when I first got my ecig, about 18 months ago, especially first thing in the morning and after meals. I found a place that sells 48 mg liquid and bought some. They do have a warning on their site that this strength is not meant to be used without diluting although I do use it that way occasionally, but most of the time I add in a little food-grade VG I bought at a local health food store. For me, the stronger liquid did the trick. I haven't even had an analog in the house now for nearly two weeks. Ordinarily running out of analogs would cause me to panic and go buy a pack, even if I didn't really want one right away, I had to know they were around and available. Haven't had an analog, haven't missed them, haven't craved one in two weeks now.

So basically you all are saying I should start with the highest option, in my itaste purchase it would be 24mg. I ordered the 16mg, but since it's a pre-order I should be able to change it to 24mg.

Btw was reading article about 2nd hand vape, and the potential dangers and state bans in public. This is a total joke, it's as if non-smokers feel like vapers are getting over on them, so they have to invent dangers. There is no way water vapor that dissipates in seconds with minimal nicotine in it is going to somehow kill them. Such a friggin joke, almost worth a quick grin, but it's really a cry ;)
