Hey,
quite frequently, on my show, on the streets and at work, i get stopped to ask about ecigs, what i suggest and whatnot and i don't always have the time to give them the information that they want right that minute... but take their email address and send them an email.
this is the email that i've been using for quite some time, it is currently tailored to canadians. i just modify it as i see fit for each individual and then send it out.

Hey<name>,
Before I say anything, I always suggest that people do their own research to be sure they're getting what they want. I would suggest you join up at www.E-Cigarette-Forums.com and ask questions , they're more than happy to answer your questions and give you ongoing support. It's only fair to let you know that I am an Advocate and Activist for E-cigarettes and am a member of CASAA (Consumer Advocates for Smokefree Alternatives Association). I have studied every bit of research that I've come across on the topic and I feel that I can confidently say that these devices, despite Health Canada's protectionist stance, are going to make a difference in your life and health.
Electronic Cigarettes(E-Cig's) or Personal Vaporizers(PV's) as we prefer to call them, use a battery powered heating coil(nichrome wire) to turn fluid into a Vapour. That Vapour is inhaled and, depending on the device and nicotine strength of the fluid, will provide you with the hand to mouth need, the throat hit (the scratch at the back of the throat) and the Cloud (the feeling of your lungs filling up with smoke) that most smokers desire and find it hard to leave behind.
Thats the basics
So, what device should you pick up?? Its hard to say specifically, each vaper is different and will have different tastes and needs. Some want a heavy throat hit and dont' care about vapour others want a light throat hit but want strong clouds of vapour and stronger flavours there are a myriad of combinations.
If you're a light smoker and don't want to fiddle around much and want something that feels, looks and operates like a cigarette (which most smokers want when doing the transition) I'd suggest going with a smaller, more cigarette like device like the 510 model or the its easy to carry around and runs for an hour of constant use at 180mah. Be sure to get more than 2 batteries or you'll be itching at the clock when one runs out and the second isn't quite finished charging!
If you are a heavier smoker or want to feel more of the kick at the back of your throat, id suggest picking up an eGo, a Torch, or a Riva (same device different manufacturers though the eGo is the standard that all are judged on) the batteries last at least twice as long`at 380mah to start usually around 3 hours, give or take. There are longer lasting eGo batteries but they're special purchase after the fact.
Once you've been vaping for a while you will likely want to start playing around there are variations with High Resistance and Low resistance Atomizers, there are larger battery devices that are bulkier, and there are devices that run at different voltages, typically 5v 6v and 7.4v (use HR atomizers with these) and then there are Variable voltage devices that allow you to tailor your vape as you go increasing and decreasing either the Voltage or the Wattage. The price on the specialty mods vary from as low as 45 dollars for a basic Mechanical all metal device with no electronics but large long lasting batteries allthe way to 400+ for hand turned pieces of art or for the most manipulatible devices. Like I said, You can get variable voltage devices and volt specific devices but what you have listed above is enough to decide if you want to try it and like it if you want to move beyond that stuff the people at ECF and I can help you find what you really want and what you really like. I know people who go real insane and literally have hundreds of devices, in every colour and whatnot
Cost??
You're going to spend somewhere around $100-$150 on devices and juices initially the batteries will last 6m to a year, atomizers 1-3 months and you'll likely go through 30-60 ml of juice each month I'd suggest you start off at between 18mg/ml and 24mg/ml nicotine juice. If you are kinda nervous about the price, think about how much you spend a month on cigarettes, typically between $200-$300 a month its worth the intial investment
Again, I'm a activist member of CASAA (Consumer Advocates for Smokefree Alternatives Association) and I'm wide open for assistance and information, all you have to do is ask. I'm a Year in (11 months cigarette free) and I've gone off the deep end and I have more devices than any one person can possibly use, but I'm also do video reviews for people who want to buy devices and juices I also host an InternetTV show called Great White vaping on sunday nights from 8-10 EST where I provide vaping Edu-tainment my fellow hosts and I educate, inform and entertain the viewers in an interactive forum dedicated to helping people find a great alternative to Ecigarettes. I give my opinions and thoughts about the products and I hope that in the end I help people make informed decisions. I currently own 15 usable devices and now DIY mix my own e-juice to try to find my perfect vape and I've probably not saved much money, if any, but I'm healthier, happier and loving my new hobby.
The vendors I typically suggest are as follows:
Jack at www.Happyvaper.com has most of the best standard commercial devices, but doesn't sell any e-juices. His customer service is second to none and is phenominal for responding to your every question.
Kat at www.electrovapors.com sells a little bit of everything but I use her almost exclusively for Canadian Nic Juice
Primo at www.nicfitnation.com also sells a fair bit of devices and is great for support
Mopar at www.canvape.com sells a little bit of everything and is very active within the Forums and is readilly accessible for support
James at www.juicyclear.com sells the best e-juice in canada, in my opinion, and its all canadian made. (Kat is an authorized reseller of Juicy Clear Juices)
The boys at www.mapleleafvapes.com sells some great juices as well and they sell some really pretty and amazing mods (handmade/specialty ecigs)
There are plenty of great canadian vendors, however these are the ones i have the most experience with and knowledge of and with whom I can safely say, will stand beside you every time and provide the product and customer support you need. If you email these people, make sure to point out that JayTheVapingGuy sent you HC has been playing, and continues to play, games and create harrassment for them, they're sometimes leery to go in depth with people from out of the blue. Knowing that you were sent by someone within the community will cause them to breath a bit easier and be more open to answering your questions.
Hope that all helps more than it confuses, feel free to pass this info and my contact info on to anyone else who you think would be interested in finding an alternative to smoking cigaretes. I'm always open and available to helping smokers take charge of their health.

I hope that it is of some use to those of you who are activist and Advocates for Ecigarettes. Please don't plagarize it in its entirety... modify it for your own use and beliefs... don't sell what you don't believe 100%
cheers,
Jay
