Been vaping for a week. I have been vaping a strong cherry for a few days now. I still taste the cherry but I loaded up a tank of cotton candy and a tank of bazooka bubblegum and I can't find a flavor in either. Well I get a wierd flavor. I changed wicks in both tanks and still I get the same weird nothing taste. Do I have "vapor tounge" or does my juice suck. I have never tried either of these Mt Baker Vapor Cotton candy and myfreedomsmokes.com bazooka bubblegum. What I taste is almost like it is getting too hot but not really. Yeah that makes no sense. All I know is it sucks if the juice is bad OR if my taster/smeller is broke.

Yeah, it could just be vaper's tongue. Make sure you are drinking lots of water.

I've noticed something else. Different juices taste better at different volts. Also, I have a Nautilus with the adjustable airflow and have changed that in combination of getting the volts dialed in to get the right flavor sometimes. Example: My ADV is cappuccino. I vape that with the airflow fully open and at 4.2 volts. When I put a tank of pineapple on the mod I have to lower the volts down to about 3.5 and close the airflow down by one. YMMV.

Cherry is a very domineering flavor, and after vaping it, it doesn't surprise me if you can't taste something as light as cotton candy. If you can still taste your cherry flavor, it's not exactly vaper's tongue, but close. Try adjusting your gear as jaxgator suggests, and if that doesn't work try some of the VT fixes - there are lots of them on the forum.

First of all BigKev77, I would like to welcome you to ecf. I am so sorry that you are having problems after just a week. Here is a link that explains vapor tongue which it could be your problem. http://www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/ashtray-blog/2014/03/vapers-tongue.html I don't think I've ever experience this but I also change flavors regularly. So it could be just as simple as you need to find a few other juices that appeal to ya.

You have only been vaping for a week and it really could be mentally missing those cigarettes. It takes take time for a bunch of junk to get out of your lungs that could be messing this up a bit for you. I smoked and vaped for a good while and slowly just started liking my cigarettes less. So it was a easy transition. I don't know how much you smoked before of what level nic you are at but if you are having cravings for the real ones, I suggest getting a stronger nic juice.

You could get a different kind of juice. Maybe the cherry is messing with ya. There are lots of sales going on. Here is a link to a Deals and Steals thread. You could find some on sale and try something different. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/418767-deals-steals-183.html What I am saying is you may like your cherry but you may try a sample of cinnamon bun and it may make your taste buds dance. It takes time to figure out what you really like. Some vape shops even offer samples or will let you try something new.

I know you will get many suggestions from the good folks around here and I sincerely hope you try some of them. I hope to be reading your future posts on how well you are vaping and loving it. Just please give it some time and try. It is so worth the time involved. Vaping does require a bit more planning.

Good luck to you. Sorry for the long post but you will find the people here on ecf really care and want to help. That is what makes this place so darn special. :)

I had this issue, couldn't taste any flavors. So far, what I have found is it was the juice. Swapped juices from a different company and there was the flavor. I figured maybe the one company had a bad batch, but I tried 2 other flavors from them and once again no flavor. This is for me only, other people like the companies juice, for me it is to weak. My advice, try as many dufferent companies juice as you can , you will find some that work.

If you've only been vaping a week, as an avid fan of MBV cotton candy I can tell you it tastes like vaguely flavored sugar water to me at first too. The flavor needs steeping time to come through.

Stick it in a drawer or cabinet somewhere for a week or so and try a few other juices. I would advise that for any juice that's not awful, but weak or not quite right at first. It still may not end up being "OMG awesome" to you, and that's okay. But a lot of juices benefit from age, and your taste buds will also be changing quite a bit. Unless something is just absolutely hideous hang on to it for a while and try again later. You may be surprised.

It could be vaper's tongue, very common. It happened to me about 2 weeks after I started vaping. It lasted about a week.

If you want to try a juice that you will definitely taste, Madtown Vapor has a Cinnamon Red Hot that is really strong. Too strong for me so I mixed it with some weak tobacco (Turkish Tob) from Halo. Now I can't get the cinnamon flushed out of one of my PT3 minis.

I have to ask. Did you check to see if you burned your coil? I have done this a number of times and I hand it to my hubby and blink my eyelashes and he returns my device all good as new. Really though, that is what I would check for.

That was my first thought as well. I changed wicks then I tried a whole new coil unit. The weird taste is almost like when you open a brand new pool floaty toy. Almost a plastic but not really a taste at all. Yeah I know that sounds weird. I just got a rda in the mail. I am going to make a coil and go to tasting.

That happened to me when I first started vaping, but now I have been vaping since October and everything taste awful or doesn't taste at all. Not again! I was thinking about quitting and selling everything until it hit me, this is vapers tongue. It sucks. Give it time and that wonderful vape will happen again. This is the worse part about vaping. Just don't vape the good juice until you get the taste back.

Yep, went through it too. No real taste in my favorite juice! I started drinking more water and now I rotate my vapes. I start with one in the morning (a great mix of carmel and honey that people say smells like a bakery when I vape it), then move to a DIY mix of blueberry and raspberry. Later in the day I will switch to Razzleberry from Mount Baker, then after dinner, Blu-bacco. Some days I throw in another DIY mix of berries (I love berry flavors and have made a number of mixtures using them).

Good luck and hope you find what suits you best!
