Engraving your ProVari?

I don't see anything wrong with it. I personally won't do it because everything is mine in this house anyway. 
After thinking this through, if I WERE going to do it I'd definitely use an engraving plate. I just think it would look nicer and it would be far easier to drill two screw holes into the tube without wrecking the finish than any of the other suggestions I've read here.
To be honest I would do neither. Engraving Stainless is not easy, and adding an engraving plate means putting holes in the device.
What I would do, is get an inexpensive wood block, Drill out a hole to make it nice ProVari holder. Give it a nice finish, put a nice felt bottom on it and put the engraving plate on THAT.
This keeps the ProVari intact.

Got a reply back from ProVape. "I would not suggest engraving on any of the hybrid units. There is a special process involved in getting the color fade that makes the finish more susceptible to chipping so it's just not a good idea I'm afraid." Guess the end cap is best.
I think a ProVarinati special edition would rock! Red and black hybrid with the eye of Horus in the fire button...instead of ProVari engraved in the side, let it say ProVarinati And put "Lumen Sees Totus" on the end cap with the pyramid and eye over the vent holeI know, not cool to reply to your own posts...but...
A Provarinati emblem opposite the word ProVari would be the cats *ss
Yeah, that's who I thought of. He does engrave on stainless steel, and other metals. He does use diamond burs but most of his work is by hand. I've tried engraving using my Foredom but I don't think it's powerful enough or something. Here's a stainless steel ring that Otto engraved:
Know any machinists? They could easily engrave the end cap on any CNC mill.

Won't be back from the engravers until Friday. That's the good news. The bad news is, I gave to wait until the VP of the company gets back, on TUESDAY 8-o, to get it! Coincidently, that's April Fools Day. Should I have them wait until 4/02? It could be a combo Thank You!/Happy Birthday! kinda thing. Ooh, the agony! And, I'm sure they'll be someone with a camera around.
