As stated in my post, SI has fat batts that are equivalent to the Egos/Kgos without making the OP buy all new components or adapters to go from 808 to 510 threading. Also, the battery life on even the small batteries out performed the other 808's that I have, but the fat batts in addition to the OPs current supply would address the battery life issue.

OK, I guess I mis-read your post.

WOW! So much great information and I don't feel as confused anymore. Y'all are awesome. My husband thinks I'm obsessed with this ecig thing, and he's right. It's a new hobby, it's fun, and I have quit smoking for goodness sakes. MEEEE whodathunk it?
The kr808's I have are wonderful, but they seem to wear out quickly which disappoints me. I've made so many notes from all of your responses and I've got a direction to go.

Someone asked if I have been using liquid yet, and yes I have been for quite a while and after trying about 40 different flavors I know which ones are my faves and need to be bought in 30ml or bigger bottles. I didn't know what I was doing when I bought that Cig2O set.

I was just excited to try it to help me quit. The carts advertised that they lasted as much as 2 packs of cig each. That's crap. I was going through 2-3 a day and at $15.99 that was too expensive, so I learned how to refill them and buy blank carts and all that. Been to the tank world. I like those quite a bit. I have two of them.

Someone else mentioned clear-o-mizers. I actually just bought a set of them yesterday so they should arrive next week sometime. Looking forward to them.

Anyhow, i told you in the first post I get wordy.....thank for all the great suggestions and website and model recommendations. I've made notes on them all.

I'm sort of at the same stage as you... love vaping but starting to experiment to see what else might work better. I am considering dripping_ seems like a good way to get more "OOOMPF". At the local reatiler I go to, they let you try the flavors with a drip tip and they always seem to taste stronger there than when I put them in the tank.

Have you considered dripping?

Yes, I've been dripping for a while. For the smaller ecigs I have I like the soft silicone drip tips because I tend to kind of use it with no hands while typing or whatever. And I have a passthrough from vapor4life.com that I use delrin drip tips on because the unit itself is to heavy to hold with my teeth fore more than a couple of seconds.

BTW - I love my pass through from V4L. It has the OOOOOMF I'm looking for in all drags I take from an ecig. I dont' get that from the other kr808d's. I drip into that all day long.

IMO dripping is *the way* to test new juices before filling a carto or tank with them; that way if you don't care for them it's pretty easy to ditch the flavor without tossing (or boiling or whatever) the carto (or whatever). Also I've been using atomizers with drip tips & dripping exclusively whenever possible, simply because I've found no match (yet) for performance. I'm fairly new to all this & my 3.7 volt 1050mAh battery PV is obviously limited, but I'm learning what works well within those limits. So far, my prefs. are 1.8 Ohm attys from Ikenvape or Cisco (the latter from Avid Vaper). BTW the low resistance attys & cartos are only acceptable for use with 450mAh and higher batteries.

Best of luck & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Somewhere in PA on my Ultra Limited
LeCig makes the PigCig big batts. I have the 1300mAh/3.7v kit, it's KR808D-1 and lasts really long. They also sell an 808/510 adapter so I can use anything out there on them. That being said, I still have a lot of 808 stuff I'm using but don't think I'd buy another 808 device once they're used up. Most everything is 510.

A1: You'll most likely need a new charger for any big batt no matter what you choose, the other stuff/devices can be reused with adapters (they only cost a couple$ ea - 808/510, 808/eGo, etc)
A2: Yes, big batts last a long time. I was going through a couple of my 808 little batts/day, 1 PigCig lasts more than a day
A3: Depends on what you're looking for here. If it's more juice, there are mega carts that will hold a couple ml of juice (the little carts usually hold 1). If difference in temperature or throat hit, you need to look at different resistance cartomizers. There's tons of threads on this subject, bottom line LR cartos (~2.0 ohm) = warmer vapor, SR cartos (~3.0 ohm) = cooler vapor. I still use the "Premium Coolcarts" blanks for my wife on the little batts (she likes cooler vapor) but there are cheaper ones out there.

P.S. I wouldn't use anything under 2.2 ohm on a small batt (anything less than 450mAh), really LR draws too much to be safe on them.

Dripping is good for flavor 'ooomph', imo. But for me it's a bit tedious since I vape so much so I only drip when trying out flavors.

'Ooomph' could mean nic 'buzz', flavor taste, or throat hit .. getting away from cartos with filler material and using clearomizers or dripping directly into an atty really made a difference for me in tasting the juice. I'd only use a carto with filler as a last resort now. I haven't used a tank system yet but I'd expect the flavor to be good as well. To try it I ordered a C-type kit for my eGo passthrough.

For throat hit, I've found the biggest changes are with nic strength, certain flavor components like mints/menthols, anise, alcohol, etc. (user subjective), and voltage. Just this am I took my morning vape and wondered why it tasted so bad and was so harsh when it was ok yesterday. It was because my usb extension was broken and my batt went low. Even with it fully charged just being able to change from 3.3 to 3.7 to 4.2 volts makes a huge TH and flavor difference to me, everything else being equal. Higher volts usually make the flavor tastier and vapor more mild with most of my juices, but too high and the flavor starts to go away. I get my nic 'ooomph' with 27 to 30 mg/ml juice when I want it.
