I will be setting up my new lathe tomorrow. Hopefully I will get to turn my first bowls on it by Friday.
This lathe should help to improve the quality and artistry of my pipes. I am very excited.

Like I said there will be more. The new lathe should help with them. Turning the larger diameters on my current lathe was really beginning to bog it down.

I love Davey ... side button is how I tend to vape on the CIY, too. A very natural position for the button. Love it. And yeah, I vape on the CIY even un-finished. I love the heavy pipe feel in the hand when doing a long vape session at my desk.

Anyone who doesn't have a large pipe OR a pipe that comfortable "side-winds" ... you want this thing. I want it, too, but gotta hold back a while.

Much as I'd love to have it, I suspect my finances wouldn't like it. Pipes are for relaxing, and I can't do that with a blown budget.

My Dragon works well in a sideways grip, since I generally fire that one with my thumb. Of course, if that's what you're after, the hammers are just around the corner...
