The lone 18500 hammer left is...of course, the beloved cocobolo. I must hold firm. If I am going to crack on some "not my thing" it is going to be the Damascus steel...I think.

So I have a sidetrack. I was looking at the cigar's. There is ... a quality to them. I am all about rounding out my EPm collection piece by piece with an example of each style over time ... and these are pretty cool. Plus, I imagine the wiring of these is a real PIA so who knows when and if EPM will produce them again. So I guess my question is this...how, ergonomically or whatever, do you hold and fire this thing? With the button on the tip (no offense) I can't seem to figure any way that vaping this thing would not be awkward. Anyone?

Just for poops and giggles...this is how my epipe obsession started. A simple Google search (yes, I actually did one ALL BY MYSELF) for "electronic cigarette pipe" lead me to this sterling image

remains one of my very favorite pipes I have seen.

That was my first EPM pipe, I already had a Jazz at that time and it was called the Serve and Protect acrylic...still a fav pipe...

Dang it Juicy ... Matt now has another $150 of mine because of you!

:)

I've been on the fence for an e-stogie for weeks. I knew which I wanted. Just grabbed it.

Useage should be easy, like a bottom button tube mod. I balance it on my pinky and press down to cape.

DOH!!! The Curly Walnut Stogie is gone!!!

Luckily, that was #2 on my list and not #1.

Anyone else with an opinion on how to handle these man handlers?

Jahf is right, they are ring or pinky finger press's, just like any other bottom switch mod. they have their own "feel" about them.

...but your hand, dear Matthew, IS right sexy. Look at the lines, so elegant...

OK. Wow, that is a unique "feel."

I backed off the corncob...for now. Trying to focus with Ents and DSteel coming down the shoot...but also looking for a true pocket pipe. We are out and about a great deal with the midgets...including Wednesday taking the wife to Dizzneyland for her birthday...and the pipes aren't always practical. Yes, Jerome is my road dog and as he is banged up I don't mind schlepping him around willy nilly for the most part, but I don't know Then I considered the cob...that certainly would make a solid car pipe let alone hiking and cycling and generally natureizing...but even there we have some length in the pocket (no offense again) and the problem of me being a tank guy and the issues that may arise I suppose if I went to a DCC on Jerome for the day that would work well, but I almost want something more durable. And I can pull off a better look on a stogie while keeping the whole thing compact with a simple drip tip. So I got myself wondering if maybe a EPM cigar is the way to go for a more durable pocket pipe.

I shall meditate upon this mystery...

What are y'all going to for your rough and tumble pocket pipe?

Revisit Pipe of the Day 14

This is how I usually hold it when chillin. I have no pic of me pressing the button. What I do is from this position I slide my middle or pointer finger to the end and then up to my mouth. This is the device that goes golfing with me. I walk usually but if Im in a cart it works perfect driving around with it holding it like a cigar. Thats why I got the 18350 model cigar so I could hold it like a real cigar. I like cigars, but ya, cigars could be considered awkward to many. And in this case much heavier also. So perhaps you would consider it awkward also.

Id take a new pic but it is in a box headed to EPM right now :( Matt, I included a note but forgot to mention it also had an issue where I had to press the edge of the button to get it to fire right. It wasnt always like that but evolved into that same as my Mjolnir. I think this super damp environment I live in messes with things. Its dry in the house and all that but man, we cold and wet 6 months of the year.

I feel you dog. I hiked some Humboldt redwoods with Jerome in my cargo pants...and hooped with him last week...and it worked just fine with a tank and drip tip. I am just not 100% sure I want Jerome out and about to that extent, a more tube like design might stand a better chance of not getting messed up and might be a more comfortable front pocket feel. Just not sure. Anyone else want to weigh in?

Aw hell, looks like I cooked the vapesafe in "The Dove".

A word of caution fellas -- double check the ohms on your new brass rba's before using them!
The "Sun" that came with Davy Jones worked quite well out of the box. So, I got the Dragon Tamer, and of course couldn't wait to give it a go. (looks great on The Dove)
Fired it up and much to my dismay & disappointment, nothing. The Dove had been working really well with a Vision Eternity, it was one of my very favorites, used every day (I say that about ALL my ePipeMods)
So long story short, I then tested the Dragon Tamer and it read 1.1ohms! Now nothing else works either. Let it sit for awhile. Changed the battery. Let it sit all night. Still no fire :(
Davy's Annunaki Sun tested at 1.2ohms, and is working great.
I was using a 1.1ohm LavaGen in Boromir for a while, no problems.
So Matt, do you recall The Dove? I got it in October last year. Does it have a different vapesafe in it that's possibly more sensitive than the VapeSafe2 in the newer epipes? I'll be sending it your way soon...

Mjolnir = the ultimate rough and tumble, pocket friendly, tank friendly mod. (from us anyway).
it is by far the most compact 18350 unit on the market (IMHO).
You saw how BIG the lava tube looked compared to the cigar... The lava tube is actually quite small for an 18650 device.
the Cigar is an 18500 device... and the Mjolnir is an 18350 device.
