Hmmmmmm....

I am not sure how to take it, coming from another dude. It certainly didn't feel awkward coming out. I guess if I am not careful I could get slapped around a bit, and things could get messy.

No worries BJ, just pointing out the double entendre's in vaping vernacular :)

Oh yeah and in other news...
My Realestate search went very well today. After careful thought we have decide to lease an industrial/ comercial space rather than a strip mall/ solely retail space. This reduces the cost of the space by by 50% per sq. ft. It also allows us to move both the wood shop and the store into the same location. The spot I am after is a very good location. It has a nice fully windowed store front area. It is also 6000 sq. ft. Which will give us ample room to grow. I hope to sign the lease before the end of the month!

In addition to EPM getting the new facility, we will have to move, which may delay production for a short period of time. There may also be brief delays with shipping during the transition, but we will do our best to keep things on the customer end as seamless as possible.

We also have several of our staff, including myself, taking vacations over the next 2 months.

Oh and Brian has unfortunately broken his right hand, which means he will not be able to turn pipes for the next 2-3 weeks at least. This will leave me to be the sole turner after the 2 racks brian has drying have been released.

Hopefully we can keep up, but production on pipes may be a little short for the next couple months.

This is probably a bit of good news for some of you that need to give their bank accounts a rest for a bit :)

I see a Gandalf in my future lol. I love the shape of those pipes. Can you PM me a list of what it takes to build one exactly like this? Or post it here?

Great news. So you going to put a window between the store front and the work shop? So we can come and see you guys turn out your masterpieces. :D

Sorry to hear about Brian. :( We hope he heals up soon.

That has a black drip shield , probably a 510 attie or carto under the DS, and our 8" warden stem. If you want to use 510 atties you can find much better ones than the ones we currently sell. We are looking for a better supplier on 510's and other staples.

No, I don't think so. There are too many trade secrets that I would prefer be kept secrets. We may have shop tour days, but for liability reasons, an uninterrupted work environment, and too keep our secrets we have decided it best to keep customers out of the shop.
This has actually been a fairly big topic of discussion.

Don't take this the wrong way BJ and it's not just this post, but the terms that we throw around so freely can often look quite awkward. Especially when taken out of context.
It reminds me of Tobias Funke - the Analrapist from Arrested Development. Which is a most hilarious show if your not familiar. They actually have a new rebooted season on Netflix :) Tobias goes to the "Method One Clinic" thinking it's an acting clinic.... It's a must see show.

I am constantly complementing Cheryl from Cherry Vape on her excellent "tips".... You just gotta put your lips around those babies :)

Tobias is such a blowhard! Easily my favorite comedy show, and the new season did not disappoint.

Congrats on the new shop!

Sounds like I'm gonna have to come up with some excuse to go to Atlanta after we move back to Louisiana. I've got no use for trade secrets, but I'd love tosee you guys at work, with a drying rack full of pipes to ogle and drool over.

Awesome to hear about the new shop/vape lounge/B&M, but bummer about Brian getting hurt. At least you guys were able to crank out a boat load of new designs before this upcoming down time. Any progress/developments in finding another pipe turner so you can be the freestyle maniac?

Actually yes! Our newest shop hand James has been working with us for several months now. He was a local steam punk artist that happened to also be a customer. When we sent out the letter that we were hiring, he jumped on it. James has taken on every task we have thrown at him with great care and enthusiasm. He is actually the man that built our current batch of gorgeous mjolnirs including the Damascus. We need to find someone to take over his current shop duties, but once we do he will begin training on pipes. I hope to bring on at least 2 new turners before the end of the year.

Sounds like great progress, I know finding an experienced craftsman that already knows the trade wasn't very realistic. But once he gets some practice, I bet he'll come up with some new designs of his own for us to fight over. Hmmm, steampunk artist you say!!! Can't wait to see his creations.

Yeah, epipe production isn't exactly a trade taught at a local community college.
But James has a solid construction background and knows his way around a shop.
His attention to detail and passion for art make him an excellent new apprentice :)

Innuendo night on ECF forums ...

Speaking of which, really hard to keep a straight face while reading through the Divers set up instructions.
