That is the way there all built. Not saying they will not work Rob is just saying if your mod shorts out due to an ERA being screwed in to far and crushing the gasket in the REO he will not do repairs for free.

O K...thanks .. Lisa,,,I guess that means it's a bad one....

and it also means that my VVG is

PERFECT!!!!!

Kay, the ERA's are built longer. It is not just a "bad" one that was found. ERA's are not built to fit the REO period.

then why did Rob start a thread showing the difference in an attie and an ERA thread and that he would have to charge to fix it?

cancel; just read Wayne's post...

Karen, the BF version of the ERA is intended for use on the Reo and other bottom fed devices, but it's an imperfect design that causes no issues if the user doesn't over torque the ERA when installing it.

Your 510 threaded attys and cartos weren't built for the Reo, either. The Reo was built to use them.

Sounds like O rings , not my idea, or steel washers would be in order to take up the difference in length between the Eras and the standard 510 fitting. Take a trip to the hardware store with a standard atty and the Era in hand. Find washers that can be stacked on the Era and use the standard 510 as a guide for measurement. Stainless steel washers would be best I would think. I don't own an Era, not yet anyway.

You can tap out the pos connecter to repair it....

Thanks for your help and for the link!

I just tighten the ERA down till it makes contact, rather than screwing it down as much as possible, so I don't think that's it -- but in case it is... what does the positive connector look like? I have no idea about electrical stuff!

ERA has arrived!!! ERA+VVG is vaping perfection! I already had several sets of coils ready to go, the only thing that gave me a snafu was getting the air inlet in the right place, DUH me I was used to the Phoenix self linning up and at first couldn't figure it out.....then start problem shooting and figured it out :)

I had absoloutly no problem with the threading as I handled it like everything else barely screw it down til it makes good contact :)

Just curious, how many ohms are folks with a Grand vaping an ERA at?- not VVGrand but regular grand (with a 3.7V battery)...
I just made a coil but wow- it's hot...measured it and it's at 1.2ohms...I'm thinking a bit too hot. I used 30 kanthal gauge wire- w/ 4 wraps...maybe I should use the 32 gauge, but whenever I do 4 wraps, I'm up past 2ohms...I think 3 wraps is not enough surface area. Any suggestions? I'm without my VV Reos but want to enjoy the ERA I got in the mail today. I also have 28 gauge wire to use but haven't used it much.
