I need to order something from focalecig to get the repair kit for my SqR clone. What's the opinion from looking of their Erlk clone?

Hey Roxy, I just took a look at it and it does not seem to be the same as the FT clone the one with silver box (good one). The spares they have in the pic do not match the spare kit of the silver box one either so it might be a crap shoot ordering that one. So far I am very happy with the one I received yesterday but want to give it a couple of days until the honeymoon is over to post pic and my thoughts.

Edit: I have never ordered from Focalecig, nothing against them but not sure if they churn out any "quality" clones

I placed an order from them yesterday on a KFL+ v2 (Infinite) and an Erlkonigin clone. I checked this morning and it was shipped with a tracking # even though both items said 2-7 days before shipping. I just wanted a KFL+ v2 and the one they have had great reviews. I saw the Erl when I was ordering so I just added it to my order. Worst case, it will be used as a spares kit since it's cheap enough. Use code FCVAPINGCHEAP for 10% off.

Good to hear about the FT version. Mine's still stuck somewhere.

Yeah, its $18 with the discount. I should just go ahead and get it.

Just an FYI... I don't think they don't supply a tracking number for orders under $20. I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere on their site before ordering but can't find it now. There's others here that have ordered from them with good results but I still like to research the company before placing an order from someone new, especially overseas.

Just another reason to buy authentic. Buy once, cry once.

I hear you. Being new to rba's (and poor), I'm trying to find the one I want most. An authentic will be a major purchase for me. So I've gotten some cloes now of the tanks I'm most interested in. Right now the Rosev2 wins over the SqR for me by a wide margin. I expected to like the SqR better, but I don't. I like the big airflow and vapor, but the flavor on the Rose just hasn't been matched by any other tank I've tried.

I did my research on the KFL from FC and know it's one of the best clones. I have a KFL+ from EHPro and it's awesome. The KF 3.1 I bought from FT wasn't that great at first but I'm warming up to it. I haven't even received my Erl clone from FT but it's been getting good reviews. I know there's not a lot of spares available other than from the source and prices are high so buying a $17-18 clone for parts (worst case) isn't a big deal to me, especially when authentic drip tips are over $20.

For the most part, I believe in the buy once, cry once school of thought but $170 for a RBA?

An Erlprinz is a fraction of that and has full support. Check the www.erlprinz.com page and read their qc issue statement... Have you seen something similar from FT regarding any product?

Doesn't The Elprinz come out to some thing like $80 once shipped to you? I am not sure what you mean by support but if you mean replacement for faulty product than yes they do replace it or refund your money. For $20 you can't go wrong and won't hurt you if you don't like it. Hell, I paid more for a Protank back in the day

Not to me as I pay 12€ for eu shipping so I would say 51€.

Personally I can't compare because ft is outside Europe so in worst case scenario I have to pay 21% VAT + custom charges plus 7€ handling if customs get ahold of the package. Now even if ft sends out a replacement, if it gets caught again I pay another 21% VAT and another fee and another 7€ handling... It can become expensive fast.

Anyway, you probably right. At the price ft can sell them and keep their profit margin, it's not a big deal sending replacements out.

TChavei Yes 21% VAT and customs is crazy for you guys :( ...... $80 (or maybe more, not sure haven't looked it up) was meant for us in the US, thats how much the elprinz would cost for us to get it after shipping and euro/dollar conversion.... Still a far cry from $20... At the end of the day it is what everybody can afford, people who can afford it spend the money and buy the original people who can not take there chances with the clone.

Oh man, it's 1 am here and I wrote some mistakes (I'm tired)

1. I pay 23% VAT not 21% duh

2. You guys are exempt of VAT so you get an automatic discount of 21% (Austria VAT I believe... Germany has 19% VAT)

So it's 33€ for you plus the horrible shipping cost (23€ I think) all in all about 56€ which is US$68 give or take.

Comparing the erlprinz to other atties available to me:

1. Kayfun 74€
2. Erlkoenigin 127€
3. Erlprinz 40€
4. Ehpro kayfun nano clone 34€

You can see why I think the erlprinz is worth it.

Oh and if you buy it from the EU you have 2 year warranty on the erl family.

If you're looking to order a clone from a supplier in the US, don't bother ordering from Vapingtech. I placed an order last week Tuesday (10/14) aftering seeing them "in stock" and it has yet to ship. My attempts to contact their customer support for a status update have gone unanswered. I placed an order this week Tuesday with G Vapers and it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

If the authentic was more reasonably priced, I'd have ordered one. But $170 for what it is seems completely ridiculous, especially considering the list of expensive accessories. For the price, stuff like larger draw hole, glass/metal tank and drip tip adapter should be included.

Ok guys, I was afraid that this would happen. I didn't mean to start a clone vs authentic debate with this thread. I just wanted to do a comparison.

I have had clones and authentics of many different atty's. I have heard stories of other's clones performing flawlessly. I honestly have a hard time believing it. Because all of my atty clones were crap.

Only bought one clone of a mod. An HCigar copper Nemesis. Horrible piece of crap imo. That's with super cleaning of all parts and installing fat daddy's magnets. Junk! That's why I never bought another clone mod. I am sure that there are others out there that have acquired a decent clone but not me.

I finally built the clone from my original post. Does it work? Yeah, sorta. Filling it after the build was a complete disaster. Flooding to the extreme. I must've lost about 3ml of juice filling the thing. I built and filled it exactly like I have done dozens of times with my authentics. Unfortunately, not the same result.

Here's a little side note about my frugal father: He used to think that it was money well spent purchasing knock off jeans at walmart, Target, K-Mart, etc rather than brand named jeans. He bought 5 pairs of knock offs for more than I paid for one pair of Levis. Guess who needed to buy new jeans before I did? After that adventure and me telling my Dad that "You get what you pay for." he came to the realization. Yes, indeed, you do get what you paid for. Guess what brand of jeans that my dad wears today.

Currently, one can purchase an authentic Erlprinz for $74.73 w/ the more expensive shipping. Yeah, you can buy a couple of clones for that but do those clones come with a manufacturer's warranty? Are parts readily available that will actually fit. Will you end up going through all of those clone before I have even started on my authentic? <== reference to my story about my dad.

Everyone has their own financial struggles and I understand that but some times, clones can end up being more expensive than just buying the original.

And that's all I have to say about that.

My EHPro KFL+ clone works great. It came with a clear tank section as well as the all metal and plastic center section. I've had zero issues with it. The FT KF 3.1 does have some finish issues like really, really sharp edges that I cut my finger on while unscrewing but it works great too. I wanted a v2 of the KFL+ so I ordered the one on FC because it got great reviews and said to be better than the EHPro.

The Erlkonigin has an interesting design I wanted to try out but not at $170. And then the accessories would bring one tank well over $200. No thanks. The reviews on the clones seemed promising so I ordered one. Before I got it, I was ordering the KFL+ v2 from FC and saw they started selling an Erlkonigin clone for $19 so I just added it to my order since it was cheap and I could use more tanks. I wrote here on the forums that the worst case, it would be used for parts even though some reviewers said that authentic parts will work with the clones. Finding a place that sells parts for the Erl isn't easy and pricing for authentic parts is way overpriced, IMO. It's cheaper just buying another clone.

For me, it comes down to value. It's not about financial struggle but what I'm willing to pay for a product.
