Here's some pix of my build on the Erlkonegin clone this morning.

That's exactly how mine is and it's wet and slurpy. I trimmed the wet wick top to the same level as the coil and it helped. I might try replacing or doubling up the o-ring on the chimney top.

I finally finished the juice in the tank and pulled out the feed ring, it has helped a lot but it still seems that the wick is having a hard time keeping up sometimes. My wick also looks very similar to what Jax posted but not as nice. I havent had the tank leak or gurgle at all since I first got it, so I know Im getting closer to getting it to vape perfectly. For now Im just going to deal with the occasional dry/off hit.

Anybody have any suggestions on a washer for the 510 screw? My 510 screw is flush, nearly recessed inside the outer 510 threading making it challenging to make proper contact on my wizard without cranking it down which cant be good. I need a washer (plastic?) to make that 510 screw extend out a little further. I tried one of the included orings for the top fill ports, they are way too big.

I had the same issue, I ended up unscrewing it then re-tightening and it seemed to resolve the problem.

    Just for you Bud.

Thats after 9 hours. Here's how I was vaping it.

Please remember that I am not using the afc at all and I also have the optional open draw posi pole holder (2mm vs 1.5mm) installed.

If you are getting dry hits, you are choking the coil with your vape style (too sofft for the amount of wicking you are using). Each person's vaping style determines their proper wick. Personally, I am a very heavy lung hitter. I prefer RDAs all day long over tanks. If you mouth to lung hit, my build as shown above probably will not work for you.

Member mingot gave me the following information concerning a less expensive alternative for the posi pole washers. He said they worked on his authentic but I have yet to try them on either the authentics or the clone: Circuit Board Spacer

Jax you got your Erlprinz setup and some pics too? Just wondering if you used it yet.

Used it several times between the time I built it today and posted my pix for KTM. Wonderful vape without any leaking issues or any other issues for that matter.

    The saga continues...

So I put a #60 o-ring on the top of the chimney, just below the threads on the shelf. I also trimmed the wick a bit more and removed the wick ring. No leaks and the wet, slurpy draws went away. No dry hits either.

Bro? Quite honestly, I think you've got a bad clone if you are having this many issues with leaking. None of my Erlks (authentics or clone) have any problems. Seriously.

    OMG - 30ml tank option for the Erlkoening - BigmamA 20ml (0,67 oz.)-EK-041

VERY old news my friend. :D

I'm thinking the same. The fit and finish is really nice on this clone though. The o-ring is working out so far. I figured the o-ring on top would compensate for the 1mm drop in the chimney w/o to wick ring so I left it out.

I sure hope that's it. This tank is an awesome vape imo.

I got my $16 clone from angelcigs on Wednesday and aside from having to come up with a makeshift spacer for the pin, it has been perfect since my 1st build. 2.4mm coil w/ rayon. I was doing all the detailed trim work on the wick, but tonight I got lazy and just did the vertical pinch, then cut back bottom to top at about a 60 degree angle, tucked bottom point into channel and put it all back together and filled. No wick ring since the first build. Only problem now is that the iSTick is reading atomizer short but its coming up at 1.2ohm on my MVP and VV working fine. I think my pin spacer hack of cutting a supermarket membership card to fit under the pin head may not be liked by the istick. Has anyone else figured out a better spacer option yet? I found the actual erlk spacer from an online vendor here in the states for $1.50 but $12 shipping!!

I didnt see this until now, I will have to order some of those........... I ended up getting a piece of plastic, poking a hole in it for the screw, and trimming it to fit...it worked but I ended up messing up the 510 pin on my wizard! unscrewing it so far as to try and make connection with that recessed pin, once I got the make shift washer installled and the Earl was no longer flush, I tried to screw the 510 back down and it wouldnt budge... so when I unscrewed it a little to get it moving the center screw part came out (of the WAE2), and ALL attempts to get it to go back in would not work.......... The threads on either the pin itself or the little brass threaded bushing have gotten all messed up... I ended up just kind of pushing the 510 screw (think press fit) back in to the brass bushing thing, to the point where it doesnt fall out, but doesnt screw in or out either....so now my WAE2 adjustable pin has been damaged, and that I will have to fix.............................I am not a happy camper right now.

On the flip side, I did rebuild my Earl this time with a 3.0mm screwdriver, 28ga kanthal, 1.7 ohms, loosely filled it with KGD, trimmed the wicking tails to what look like fiber strings :p put those in the channels, it has big huge fluffy shoulders on each side of the coil........ seems to wick great, which is not to say it was not wicking before, just sharing my experiences for others to read. I personally feel with an coil in that diameter, thats a lot of wick and juice in "buffer" if anyone is having dry hit or wicking issues..... a big fluffy wick inside that 3mm coil and the vape is pretty darn good.

On yet another topic, I am considering a Squape Reloaded..... anyone have one in this thread? care to compare it to the Earl's, kayfuns, etc...? Like many of you (I'm sure), I have this assortment of tanks and RDAs, at some point it just seems silly to keep buying only to "collect" them............so I do value your opinions on the Squape R...........

have had a FT clone in my waiting to ship bin for amost a month, but I'm ordering a few more, several different ones, as well as 2 more of my current one. This thing is AWESOME.....

I figure come tax time, I'll break out and buy the original with all the extras. but until then, I'll get a few to play with, at those prices, why not?
