For those who are not up to date with the WHO's plans to demonize e-cigs just like they demonized tobacco cigarettes - and their plan to do this at their conference in Moscow (fitting place, I would say) in October of this year, here is a short summary:

History:

WHO plans e-cigarette offensive
WHO plans e-cigarette offensive « The counterfactual

Letter by 53 scientists to the WHO about e-cigs
53 public health specialists write to WHO about alternatives to smoking – here’s the letter « The counterfactual

Letter to WHO on low risk alternatives to smoking: a reader’s guide
Letter to WHO on low risk alternatives to smoking: a reader’s guide « The counterfactual

Fearmongering letter by Glantz the ANTZ to the WHO
signed by 129 pediatricians, WHO employees and other non-scientists
debunked: Glantz letter to WHO

And now - a letter by consumer associations to the WHO
Letter to Dr Chan; Director of WHO; re: COP6 in October | EVUN - European Vapers United Network

- We, the consumers, are the main stakeholders in this whole thing.

Tl;dr summary of the whole e-cig regulation stuff (courtesy of Clive Bates):

Briefing: the case for e-cigarettes « The counterfactual

The outline of the argument:... e-cigarettes are proving to be a very valuable market based positive public health phenomenon, that consumers like and costs the state nothing. The danger is that clumsy regulation to address minor or implausible risks will destroy large parts of the market and leave the products less appealing to adult smokers. In that event, we will end up with more smoking, disease and death than would otherwise be the case.

...........

Oh, and as to the WHO's stance on tobacco cigarettes - this here makes darn good reading: Rampant Antismoking Signifies Grave Danger
In short, the demonization of smoking - and smokers - was started by the WHO in 1975 with its “The Worldwide Campaign Against Smoking”.

If you wish to know what they are planning to do to e-cigarettes - and the users of e-cigarettes, just open the Rampant Anti-Smoking link and replace the word "smokers" with the word "e-cigarette users" wherever you find it.

And some really good ones, too :)

Some people are nice and friendly. Others are polite but very clear in their statements. (Yeah, people can take only so much BS and lies.... )
I love the one that ends like this:

You have the opportunity to save millions of lives by working to keep vaping freely available to every smoker who is finding it impossible to quit like I was. To do anything else is unethical at best and criminal at worst.

How about it, dears? Care to add your own comment?

Added mine, I know no one with any real sway will read it but I gave it my all!

I'm only 26 but had been smoking almost 2 packs a day for 11-12 years, I would probably never have given up without e-cigs and the ability to customise the experience to my needs and likes.

I'm pretty young though so maybe I could have quit the hard way, but my mum with 40+ years of smoking 2 packs a day failed with every available method. Until she started using an e-cig, she had never managed more than 2 weeks in all them 40 years without a tobacco cigarette.

Today we have both been smoke free for 6 weeks, with no wish, thought or possibly of going back.

If you continue to rush into banning such a miraculous product, you condemn both us and the millions of other smokers, who could not quit, to the possibility of tobacco associated disease and illness.

Please reconsider your view on this product that provides a safer alternative for so many smokers.
