Generally, my days go by well as far as vaping goes. Usually the biggest problem I have is flooding an atomizer once in a while and a nice big shot of juice on my tongue. Yesterday and today, however, was complete hell.

Yesterday started out fine, but in the afternoon no matter what I did my atomizer was flooding. I could get no vapor for pretty much my entire shift at work, and on my break I decided to lay the blame on a ZFM cart cap. It was leaking out the side instead of just through the H cut to the bridge. Ok, well, later that night I get home and try different caps and try to piece it all together with different carts too. NOTHING. Kept flooding the atomizer. So, I decide to pop in a different atomizer (I rotate between 3). Great it works! I go to bed and get up this morning, go to my new set up, and IT'S FLOODING AGAIN! Okay, pop in a brand new atomizer, get that one fired up and set. Now it is working fine again after 24 hours of hell from my PV.

Anyone else ever had a similar BAD day from vaping? I mean, these things are a lot of work, it's understandable to have a bad day or two.

Oh, I have plenty of supplies. The issue is when it started I was at work, I usually don't carry anything but juice to work.

Then the problem is with my ZFM carts. The caps are all different, and it can be hard to fine one that lines up with the atomizer bridge right, since the bridges also come in different widths and can be a little off center at times.

It was a matter of popping in a new atomizer and getting a cap to fit right that solved my issue.

You mean like when you're stressed out and driving, and your modded cart that has worked perfectly the past 20 times decides to leak all it's juice all over you, and your stuck with sticky hands, and no liquid to vape? :p

Yeah... it's happened. Kinda why I'm partial to cartomizers now. They just work, without much fuss.

This happened a couple of weeks ago on the highway for me.

I understand what you are saying. I use a Joye-510 and am coming up on 7 months analog free. It doesn't happen often maybe just a handful of days since I started vaping, but I just couldn't get anything from any of my equipment. It was like I didn't know if I was flooding or dry or not inhaling right or what, but I just kept getting these little unsatisfying hits all day even on the passthrough etc, even with a brand new atty. The next day everything was bliss again. Sometimes I think you need to rest the thing maybe. Probably a problem of my own making, but extremely frustrating.

Dripping solves all of those issues. I have never gotten juice in my mouth from dripping.

Yeah, but it's a pain to do when driving, unfortunately.

There needs to be a dropper bottle or something that can "chamber" a small amount of liquid (like 3 drops worth) and then just dispense that at the push of a button or whatever. Would make dripping (especially while driving) a heck of a lot easier.

I get more from dripping flavorwise so that was good enough reason to go caartfree but I take your point wenchy69 :)

Also bad day - yeah last week or so I think it was - I had 3 attys up n die on me after long service, then my 3.7v PT died (I ran over it too many times on my PC chair, new battery made no odds lol), then my 5v PT died (same thing , sigh). I had backup attys and back manual batts but alas no other back up PTs :(
Luckily Madvapes got me a new 5v one inside 2 days (they have the fatter cabled ones, and I was determined to try not running over it on my chair again too), cos the manual batts were just annoying to keeping switching out so often. I must get a mega battery...
That was my worst day EVER lol

Oh yeah, today as a matter of fact.
Had 2 510 atty's going since Feb, worked strong and steady right from the start. 1 heavy use at home w/PT the other less so for day use.
Decided to start a new atty for the PT. 24hrs and kinda weak. I'm thinking maybe a 'breakin' period is going on. Don't suggest cleaning, tried em all in a learning curve in past months and learned that you shouldn't have to do more than blow out ( for me anyway ). Can't get this sucker to 'kick in'. so I'm back to the old atty that's still going.
Since Aug, every time I touch a new atty it's anxious time: Will this one work or not, lol .
I've had some great ones and some sucky ones. that's the worst part of this habit for me, no patience, fickle atty's, and a cart filler that always needs improvement.
Good Vape days are heaven, bad ones make me want to light up.
Trying to keep cost down, havn't yet moved on to a diff pv so the fight with my 510 goes on.
Hope your bad vape day turns around !

I hear you. I used to have really bad vape days, along with truly great ones. 13 months in, and the bad ones are rare. Finding out everything that works best for you from equipment to juice and back again, along with having whatever kind of back ups you know you might possibly need with you at all times, is a learning/exploring process.

Then again I also remember smoking days when I would light the wrong end, find broken cigarettes in the pack, drop them, find something that felt like a chunk of wood in them that would NOT draw, spill my coffee over my last pack..etc etc.

I've been runnin' down the cart stuffing trail lately trying to fine tune it so I can make it through a few hrs trip to town with dinner, shopping, errands and such. It's alot of driving around and in and out of places..so don't want to have to "think" too much or fiddle too much with a cart or atty. Back in my analog days I'd light up a smoke in between stops and set it on the running board of the truck while I ran in to pay a bill, then back out again. Now I really, really like not having to worry about "wasting" a smoke. Just take the drags I need and throw the stick back in my pocket.

My biggest problem has been like yours though..either funky atty or a cart with a bad case of incontinence...:) So far I think I've found the solution though. Atty's get blown out quickly and then burned hot for a few secs. Then top off cart and I'm good to go again. As for the cart issues..I've found the best filler is the Buff Puff. It tastes clean, doesn't burn and holds quite a bit of juice(almost an hrs worth). I tried it as a plug with the straw, but it kept leaking, so I just made a full filler out of it and now it's awesome. Doesn't flood atty nearly as much, gives a nice consistent vape and it will vape itself dry before needing a refill. My juice tastes much better too. The ones I'm using are from Walgreen's..the generics called Facial Cleansing Sponges. Comes in a 2 pack. There's a thread over on the cartridge mod section of the forum that explains how to cut and use them.
