...to a Cadillac, for obvious reasons. But today I'd like to offer another analogy that I think works just as well, if not better, because I've seen lots of Cadillac's in junk yards.

The ProVari is like an AK47.

Durable and reliable, because it can take a beating and still function flawlessly.

Infamous, just about everyone knows what an AK47 is, and just about everyone has opinions of the rifle, some very polarizing. In the vaping community, just the word 'Provari' can be enough to set off a firestorm and polarize the entire vaping community.

Outdated, this is where I disagree, but almost anybody who goes out of their way to avoid Provari's/AK47's always tend to fall back on the argument that the equipment is old and outdated. The AK was invented in 1947, very little has changed in that time, yet it is still one of the most popular, well built, reliable, easy to use rifles in the world. The ProVari was invented a few years ago, yet very little has changed in that time, I'm sure you can see why. It simply works, and works simply, plus it's built like a tank.

Haters gonna hate, and technology addicts will always try to upgrade everything until they've upgraded themselves into non-functional oblivion.

Can anyone think of any other comparisons?

I compare it (and the Reo) to Sherman Tanks. I guess that's an outdated reference, but I'm outdated.

So, apparently, is the ProVari lol.

Shermans were made obsolete because they were too slow, and less armored than Tigers. Unfortunately they were pretty much the only option at the time, and it did its part, but after the war it was scrapped and upgrades were immediately researched. Soo...your analogy doesn't work all that well compared to the quality of the ProVari lol, but it is built like a tank, so there's that ;)

I see a mech more akin to an ak. I would put a provari with a Wilson or Baer 1911. Older design and flawless execution.

I do not see that one. Those two guns are very highly customized tools that are made for a very narrow segment of the market. They also require a ton of messing with to keep them running perfectly. A better one might be that its like a Benz. The Tech may not always be the absolute cutting edge if you get them between new models but they run great and forever, its really pretty, and all your friends are impressed :)

I guess "Put a tiger in your tank" is lost on you too. Perhaps I should stick to The ProVari is wicked sick!

You're right, I honestly am not sure what you're referencing there lol.

And the correct grammatical form of your latter phrase would be, "The Provari is HELLA sick." ;)

So I googled that phrase, and I gotta say, I have absolutely no comments in regards to the ages of any fellow Provarinauts ;)

Still love ya, Ocelot

Thank you honey, you're such a nice boy. "Wicked" is something I picked up in the UK, where I imagine it's outdated as well, but I like how how close it is to a mixed metaphor when combined with "sick."

ETA: Regarding grammatical form: we are ProVarians, who are members of the ProVarinati.

PBusardo compared the Provari to the Technics SL1200 MarkII turntable.

I often compare the Provari to the power tools that my late father used. He was a self-employed carpenter, and depended heavily upon his "tools of the trade" to be dependable, reliable, precise, and durable. He couldn't afford for his tools to break down, or he couldn't do the job he was being paid to do. A broken tool meant no work could be done.

A broken mod becomes just an expensive paperweight....unless its a Provari.

Its like knowing Bob Denver was on DG before he was Gilligan but I prefer to think of it as chronologically challenged thanks.

Awww, Maynard G. Krebs. I guess my last nod to youth is that I had to check the spelling of "Krebs," I thought it started with a "C."

Would anyone like a Shake-a-Puddin'?
